CBS's Chicago station took the lead in reporting the large immigrant protest yesterday in Chicago. And once again it looks like CBS is blatently manipulating the news, to support their viewpoints.
Case in point are the pictures featured prominantly on their web site.
Here is the lead picture:
Notice the prominant American flag. If you choose to "view slideshow" here is the front image:
Five of the first 10 slides have large obvious flags in the, such as this:

In this photo Mexican flags out number American Flags about 10 to 1. Also notice the "medium" focus, that lets us see the group in context, not the tight close ups and ariel photographs combination that CBS has used to disguise the intent a of the protesters. The Chicago Tribune meanwhile show reality, like the Yahoo image linked on Drudge. For instance:

Why is this significant? Because the contention of those opposed to unlimited, uncontrolled immigration is not just that we are impoverished by it, but that our culture is threatened. That the illegal immigrants and their co-national supporters continue to have primary allegiance to another flag is not something the liberal media want to allow us to see.
That particular CBS station (WBBM-TV) is owned by the CBS Network itself. It's not just an affiliate.
They are not here to work jobs that Americans won't do, they are not here to assimilate. They are here because they think they have a right to be.

I was in the Loop yesterday on business and had to go through the march to get to the Sears Tower (roughly at 3:30). There were plenty of both Mexican and American flags. It was a peaceful demonstration for what I saw, and I didn't feel threatened (although I and my friend were literally walking against the crowd for two blocks along the wall of the north side of the street).
There was no reason for CBS to edit anything. They could have had plenty of pictures of only US flags being held by the illegal and legal immigrants.
It appears our next civil war will be between the Musims and the Mexicans.
Would have been an ideal time for La Migra to show up.
I stand by my contention that having nearly 20 pictures available, many with US flags prominently displayed and not one inclusion of a Mexican flag, when in fact Mexican flags were prevelent is not a conincidence, but rather a deliberate supression of the facts and distortion of the news. Selective editing out of inconvenient images was a hallmark of the Soviet press in its heyday.
There are a lot of questions here; If the US citizens needed the work so bad from these people how is so many of them can leave their jobs for a whole afternoon and protest, and nobody missed them, did the city shut down cause of this? And how is it, if these people are so poor they can afford to take the afternoon off? Were some of these people paid, who bankrolled this event?
US citizens would also come out in drives, if they were paid to do so, and could afford to take an afternoon off, and if their business didn’t miss them if they were gone...but this is not the case, instead the protest against lawless illegal immigration is happening in places like right here, and tons of other blogs on the internet, where it is convenient, and much more efficient to decimate news, and truths rather than rhetoric as we see here.
US citizens perhaps out number these thugs 10:1 in numbers, but because citizens are behind the scenes we wont see any anti immigration photos of people typing away in the masses, because the broadcast media with their conflict of interest to increase ratings amongst those who cannot afford quality cable news cant manipulate citizens for photo shoots to their convince.
The problem is the big lie about the meaning of this whole thing. ILLEGALS!!!! The media and every single person in government who spoke yesterday failed to mention this is about ILLEGALS.

Channel 2 in Chicago is one of the MOST Liberal local stations I have yet to encounter as I travel around the country.
Maybe because they're too preoccupied with the "American Idol" thread. The number of posts on that thread is in the THOUSANDS while this thread will be lucky to go over a couple hundred.
Yes, true. People are so interested in celebrity and drama. Oh, yeah, and sports. I'm not sure when Jim decided to let that all be posted here. I guess, on the positive side, it keeps people coming to the site. On the other hand if you review FR postings and ask: which of these have to do with "Restoring our Republic" it is a smaller and smaller percentage all the time.
CNN is such a wonderful fountain of "truth." No wonder its ratings are headed forever downwards.
I wouldnt trust cBS as far as I could throw them but who says enforcement of our southern borders is a republican issue? Generally cBS would manipulate stories to hurt republicans, not help them. Perhaps Howard Dean will grab on to this issue like he took credit for being anti-Arab. Im against foreign control of our terminals it's time we go all the way and not just pick out one group. Foreign is foreign whether it's UAE, Britain or China.
