Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in His Cell
Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav leader who orchestrated the Balkan wars of the 1990s and was on trial for war crimes, was found dead in his prison cell at the U.N. detention center near The Hague, the U.N. tribunal said Saturday. He was 65.
Fox News said he appeared to have died from natural causes. One reporter mentioned Milosevic had a history of heart problems.

You know, I might be inclined to believe it if we didn't have the MO of the Clintons for historical reference.

And now we know why he died...
I believe he had a heart condition for quite some time. Not providing medical treatment - or even leaving him alone and untended in a cell for any length of time would have been a death sentence...

And I am still not convinced of his guilt. Yes, he's been insisting that he was fighting Islamic terrorists before we ever recognized they existed.
I don't necessarily agree with everything he did, but I agreed with a lot of his points on that regard, and I always did think we went into Kosovo on the wrong side.

Amsterdam - The United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague has rejected a request by Slobodan Milosevic for provisional release from detention in the Netherlands to travel to Russia for medical treatment, the court said on FridayReminds me of the headstone that says, "See? I really was sick!"

Milosevic would have fared much better in the much maligned GITMO. He would have had incredible medical care, great food, would not have had to sit through a stressful trial, and would have had nice young soldiers to talk with instead of stuffy Euros or nobody, since it seems he was in solitary confinement and ignored.
More detainees have died at UN detention facilities than at GITMO.
Spread the word.

and I always did think we went into Kosovo on the wrong side.Agreed.
But then again, when there really is no 'good side', perhaps we should have just left the whole thing alone.

If true, Clinton will be relieved, now he won't be required to testify. Yeah ... wonder if Milosevic had the same jailers as Jim McDougal who crossed Clinton in the Whitewater deal.

So, 20 years from now, do you suppose people will be talking about where they were or what they were doing when they first heard that Slobodan Milosovic died?
Me neither

I'm glad he didn't make his trial the first and last time the UN finished anything.

We must demand a full investigation on the way the UN treats prisoners of war. I'm sure CNN will show photographs of the caged victem...24-7.
I'm betting Ted Turner is demanding the UN return all of the AOL merger millions he donated to them.

Second that thought!
Bump!
My questions:
Was Milosevic sick? Any obvious healthy issues?
Or is Clinton now in the clear?
Will the trial continue in his absence?
Or is history now to be rewritten?
