Nothing further some source from Europe...
Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in His Cell
Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav leader who orchestrated the Balkan wars of the 1990s and was on trial for war crimes, was found dead in his prison cell at the U.N. detention center near The Hague, the U.N. tribunal said Saturday. He was 65.
Fox News said he appeared to have died from natural causes. One reporter mentioned Milosevic had a history of heart problems.
This is totally true. I only posted a few items from the BBC article...later they point out exactly that the bombing allowed the muzzies to keep on killin'
And the Europeans didn't transfer him to a prison infirmary on Friday, either.
And the guy's dead on Saturday...conveniently before former President Clinton and former commander Wesley Clark were called to testify in Milosivec's trial.
I wasn't following politics when Clinton jumped in on this with both feet, many bombs, and full support for the Islamic claims that they were being mass murdered and raped by the Serbs.
While I can see some secondary benefits to Clinton for doing this, of the tail wagging the dog nature, I am at a complete loss to understand what so drove him out of his usual character of avoiding real engagement in foreign affairs in this instance.
Well, not quite a complete loss. He chose for eight years, continuing even now, to cover up the Jihad that is once again active against America, Western Civilization, even all non-fundamentalist Islamic civilization, even (given that I would not call fundamental Islamist civilized) all civilization. Part of a cover up is to blame the other side of the very acts that are being committed against them.
Since this was the most visible (Africa being the hidden continent) front in the 1300 year old Jihad against civilization at the time, this was the obvious place to propagate the Big Lie - accusing Serbs of committing the very atrocities being committed against them. No doubt there was plenty of violence to go around.
But that just regresses the problem for me. Clinton covered up for the Islamic Jihad his entire term, in Oklahoma City, with flight TWA 800, in Serbia, and in various other incidents.
Where's the money?
You're welcome ET. I found the story about the witness for the prosecution dying yesterday and thought maybe there was a mix-up. Thanks for letting me know you heard it, too. :-)
Joan writes:
"His (Havel's Czech nation) country did not have a long history of intense ethnic violence - including killing hundreds of thousands of each other in WWI and WWII - and he didn't have a significant Muslim population/legacy. There was no significant or historical territorial dispute between the Czechs and Slovaks - they weren't mixed and feeling that they lost land to the others, nor were worried about their ethnic group being harmed if it fell on the long side of the border.
The Croats, Muslims, and Serbs killed millions of each other (mostly Serb victims killed by German backed Muslims and Croats) before Milosevic."
The next good headline would be "Saddam Hussein" found dead in his prison cell. It seems that's the only way any of these horrid dictators die.
I like the line in the Yahoo story, "he was just a few months short of his trials conclusion".
So now we can pull out of "Clinton's War"?
That's Jesse.
The idea of "rape camps" was positively outstanding. The media hysteria was general (titles : "Rape by order", "Rape horror", "Rape camps", "A pattern of rape"...), and people started to believe in the existence of a "systematic rape plan". In reality, rapes happened not more than in any war, and have been performed by all sides. In 1992, the Bosnian government claimed that 50,000 muslim women have been raped, information abundantly relayed by the media. After investigation, Amnesty International published in January 21, 1993, a report where the issue of rape was qualified as a "propaganda weapon". Later on, the UN Commission of Experts on War Crimes identified only 800 victims - Muslim, Serb and Croat -. The hyperbolic inflation of numbers is well illustrated by the following testimony: "When I was at 50 kilometers from Tuzla, I was told 'go to Tuzla high school ground, as there are 4,000 raped women'. At 20 kilometers, this figure dropped to 400. At 10 kilometers, only 40 were left. Once at the site, I found only 4 women willing to testify." (French television reporter Jerome Bony, Envoye Special, quoted in French magazine Le Point).
Now, what was the problem again?
I thought it was Buckwheat who was dead.
I recognized Jesse Jackson; I meant the short white guy who looks like Ross Perot or Zell Miller.
Hmmmm? IIRC there were several articles lately about Bill Clinton and/or Wesley Clark being spoken of as perhaps being called to testify .. how convenient for the guy to die before that can happen!
Does this add another to the "Clinton death list" ..??
Give my best regards to Vojislav Seselj.
"As an Orthodox Christian myself"
And as Christians, it's not our position to place judgement on others...leave that to the One that has not sinned.
Looks to me like the Serbs largely abandoned agricultural Kosovo during the industrial boom times in the north. The Albanians moved in to replace them in the agri-biz. Then the Serbs, in a burst of nationalism following the breakup of Yugoslavia, decided to reassert their control over Kosovo, and all hell broke loose.
There are towns all over California with names like Watsonville, that have been largely abandoned by the white settlers who founded them and replaced by a Mexican population that is still rooted in agriculture. If that white population came back with guns and dictated that the Mexicans should no longer have representation according to their numbers who do you think would have right on their side?
Keep in mind that this is not the first time that the population in Kosovo as swung between Serbs and Albanians.
