Because there has always been a soft connection between PETA and ALF. ALF is the terrorist group responsible for blowing up laboratories and releasing animals from testing facilities.
It seems the FBI has a strong connection that PETA is the front group for funding ALF activities.
Are you secretly a member of peta?
No I'm not a member of PETA but I don't think they are a terrorist organization.
Thanks for that link. Quite a site.
ferri,
I love exposing PETA to the poor well-meaning people they have suckered.
Go for it. Let me know if I can help, I have LOTS of information/ammunition :)
wasting valuable resources spying on Peta???
Tell that to the university labs that have been forebombed, the mink farm owners that have been vandalized/destroyed, and the employees (and their children) of Huntington Life, who have been threatened, intimidated and harmed by PETA and its hidden, covert activities.
once i posted the link with the FBI files they all got quiet. the girl who protested alone outside KFC hasn't been back either. LOL i will for sure keep it mind though. there are a lot of dingbats that post on there! :) thank you!
thank you proud_yank. i should freepmail you the url to this forum, if you ever feel like poking a few liberals with a stick, this is the place to go. wear a mask, there is a thick haze of dope smoke. lol
Both aclu and peta are dangerous leftist orgainzations.

Can you believe there are people right here on FR that actually believe PETA is a harmless animal welfare organization?
Thanks for pinging me on this thread. I haven't had time in a while to check animalscam.com. Looks like I've been missing some good stuff.
Many years ago I found the truth about PETA. It was obvious back when Rodney Coronado and ALF had PETA announce all their "actions," and when PETA paid Coronado's legal expenses that PETA was simply a front for the more radical AR group. To find out what PETA's goals are one only has to read the words of their leaders.
The AR groups in Europe are years ahead of the U.S. with their terrorist (violent) activities, and the American counterparts are studying those across the pond and hope to follow their example. I always wondered why the FBI didn't shut PETA down.
And many more people, including many freepers, don't want to believe the Humane Society of the U.S. is just as bad as PETA, as far as the goals of the leaders in that organization. HSUS, unlike PETA, tries to maintain a more mainstream image for fundraising purposes, but the evidence is there -- they too are radicals (and CROOKS).
One of the most chilling things I have ever read was a true story about an undercover reporter who infiltrated ALF many years ago, and was burned (third degree burns) all over his body in retaliation. These people are not non-violent "peaceful" animal lovers.
And the freeper who posted above saying PETA is not a terrorist organization needs to read the words of Ingrid Newkirk, who (paraphrase) hopes mad cow disease spreads all over the U.S. I actually look for these freaks to eventually attempt bioterrorism.
PETA, they're just animal lovers, aren't they?

"You've got to be kidding me. How is Peta a terrorist organization? They make a lot of noise, nobody really takes them seriously."
Oh, a whole lot of people take them seriously, including the FBI, and for good reason:
Domestic Terrorists SHACkled By A Jury Of Their Peers
Posted On March 03, 2006
Yesterday in a New Jersey courtroom, six leaders of a radical animal rights group known as SHAC (and the organization itself) were convicted of a variety of domestic-terrorism charges.
Their prosecution followed a multi-year campaign of violence and intimidation, directed against a medical research firm whose lifesaving work requires the use of animal test subjects.
When they are sentenced on June 7, The New York Times reports this morning, a few of the "SHAC 6" (formerly the "SHAC 7," but charges against one were dropped) may be jailed for as long as 23 years. (The federal prosecutor in the case believes seven-year sentences are more likely.)
The newest federal inmates include Joshua Harper, the recipient of a $5,000 grant from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Also in the slammer is Andy Stepanian, who has in recent years signed his e-mails indicating that he worked for PETA (click here for an example).
Joining them is Kevin Kjonaas, the long-time leader of SHAC in the United States, who co-signed a series of intimidating SHAC-oriented letters in 2001 with Neal Barnard, the long-time president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Not charged was SHAC president Pamelyn Ferdin, wife of the murder-endorsing former PCRM spokesman Jerry Vlasak, and herself a recent card-carrying PCRM staffer.
Taken together with recent federal indictments of at least 19 other activists (click here, here, here, here, here, and here) on charges related to the terrorist Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front, the U.S. eco-terror movement appears to be losing some of its most determined criminals.
But these 19 include Rodney Coronado, the recipient of $70,400 in PETA funds during his first felony trial. Also on that list are former professional PETA protesters Kevin Tubbs and Michael "Tre Arrow" Scarpitti. It may be that completely neutralizing this eco-terrorist threat will ultimately require shutting down its farm team. Time will tell.

Welcome to People Eating Tasty Animals online! The acronym "PeTA" is commonly known to stand for "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" - a radical and dangerous animal rights group closely involved with the terrorist movement "ALF" (Animal Liberation Front). Well, now PETA stands for People Eating Tasty Animals, too! This web site, inspired by the late (and great) Dan Fegan, is dedicated to shedding light on the movement known as "animal rights" and to putting people first when it comes to animal-related issues. We wish to show the truth behind the animal rights movement, why we disagree with the animal rights philosophy, and give facts (not just theories) on why the idea of "animal rights" is wrong.

These are good sites to visit if you are interested in hunting or fishing, or if you just want some good information (from the source) about these activities and the people who participate in them. Some of these sites have articles posted by hunters and fishers about their activities and personal experiences in the field. If you are a non/anti-hunter/fisher, reading these articles may help you better understand the psyche of the human predator.

I'm a little confused though.
If the FBI was still investigating; then the docs wouldn't be available for FOIA, right?
Since the docs are available; then they are done?
What are the end results here?
Is PETA being shut down? Or is this just going away?
Thoughts?

at the NJSBA Animal Law Committee Center
PETA works with Rutgers and ACLU to train people to prosecute people for violating Animal Rights laws.
And if you take the time to read post one, you will see they get their own badges outside of State realm.
You may be right. Terrorists eat red meat.
