Threat Matrix: Daily Terror Threat - Thread Thirty-Five

Posted on 03/09/2006 10:08:04 PM PST by nwctwx

:::FreeRepublic's Threat Matrix:::
Unrest in Pakistan Setback for Terror War
(Full Story)

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- A week of unprecedented urban fighting in the wild tribal belt of North Waziristan has left scores dead and forced thousands to flee their homes, raising the stakes in Pakistan's war on Islamic militancy along the Afghan border.

A jumbled alliance of foreign militants, local tribesmen and Islamic students eager for jihad have stepped up resistance in a region where the army already claims to have wiped out al-Qaida as a viable fighting force.

The unrest, brewing for months, is a setback to the U.S.-led war on terror. Further hampering that effort are deteriorating relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan over Afghan claims that Taliban leader Mullah Omar is hiding in Pakistan and suicide bombers are training here.

Thank you.
Here's another article:

Man arrested after bomb found in car stopped in South El Monte

SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif. - A homemade bomb was found Friday on the back seat of a car stopped for a traffic violation, authorities said.
The bomb was safely defused, but several industrial businesses were evacuated and a main boulevard was closed for about four hours.
Authorities did not know the size or power of the explosive device or its intended use.
The driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was arrested for investigation of being under the influence of a narcotic and could face charges of possessing an explosive device and an altered firearm, authorities said.
The driver was pulled over about 5 a.m. in a red hatchback for speeding in El Monte, a suburb about 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, sheriff's Sgt. Paul Patterson said.
Deputies "observed a package in the rear of the vehicle with wires coming out of it," sheriff's Sgt. Don Manumaleuna said.
The sheriff's arson-explosives detail was called and determined that the package was an "improvised explosive device," Manumaleuna said.
The bomb squad contacted the FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Manumaleuna said.

"The driver, whose identity was not immediately released,"

How did I guess that would be there?

No description at all.

Usually we find if it's a "WHITE GUY", the description as "WHITE GUY" is published immediately.

Thanks Lucy for the ping. I knew most of those, I just wish all the illegals wherever they are coming from would be put in one place along with all our elected politicians and let them live together. I am very disappointed in all our elected officials except for VP Cheney and Secy of Defense Rumsfeld!

It's more than 20 million. They haven't told the truth about any of this from day one because Americans would yell bloody murder and kick the scoundrels out of office. It's illegal beyond belief, foisting a profound change upon the US.

The basic idea is simple: if we export capitalism throughout the hemisphere, if everybody's got a job, there won't be any more wars. (The rising tide lifts all boats theory.) Good intentions.

Well, we know what road is paved with good intentions. Unfortunately, they (the CFR, globalist gang), didn't figure on a few potholes, such as: Mexicans and other Hispanics sneak in, decide Hey, life is good! And stay for good. Why go back home to a hellhole?

In fact, whole villages in Mexico are now depopulated. The bottom quarter of that benighted country has already arrived in the US, and half of everybody left is packing for the trip north -- that's the middle class.

You'd think CFR and pals would have figured this would happen since it makes perfect sense, but evidently not. Didn't they think we'd notice twenty million foreigners speaking Spanish, playing soccer, doing roofing jobs, landscaping, cleaning, working at MacDonald's, et al, driving drunk, getting arrested, clogging emergency rooms, using welfare, demanding citizen benefits, in state resident tuition, etc.?

Clearly, the only thing that will get their attention is a Muslim terrorist attack that starts with the gang crossing the border, then wreaking havoc and killing many thousands of innocent Americans.

Where in all this is there the least incentive for Mexico and the rest to get their house in order? Mexico's getting more money from remittances than even drugs or oil.

Why in the world would they want their citizens back? As long as the money continues to flow south and Mexico bleeds the US white, they'll send their people north with a map to the nearest welfare center.

I was talking to several truck drivers who'd just been laid off by Kraft, after 19 years of work. Kraft bought Veryfine Fruit juices in Littleton, MA about a year ago, with promises not to lay people off. Well, the lay offs are here. They hired Brazilians (illegals), for minimum wage, housed in Lowell, bused in daily. Cops raided an apt. there, found some 900 illegal families living like sardines, with a room set aside for manufacturing fake papers. You name it, they could make it.

The truck drivers said they were so discouraged with Bush. He thinks the only threat to this country is Iran. We're being invaded. It's mass migration, and the average American isn't stupid. They notice who's using taxpayer services. They see illegal kids in school, anchor babies being born asap. Well, elections are just around the corner, and unless the administration comes out strong for a wall and sending people back to apply legally, we'll lose congress. I said to them, well, doesn't Hillary scare you? If she got the nomination? They insisted she'd never get it. They're counting on a sensible democrat...who doesn't exist.

Well now, lurk away when you desire to.

Report: Russia Had Sources in U.S. Command
AP ^ | 7 minutes ago | ROBERT BURNS,

Posted on 03/24/2006 12:50:50 PM PST by BenLurkin

WASHINGTON - The Russian government had sources inside the American military command as it planned and executed the invasion of Iraq in 2003, according to Iraqi documents released as part of a Pentagon report.

The Russians passed information to Saddam Hussein on U.S. troop movements and plans during the opening days of the war, according to the report Friday.

The unclassified report does not assess the value of the information or provide details beyond citing two captured Iraqi documents that say the Russians collected information from sources "inside the American Central Command" and that battlefield intelligence was provided to Saddam through the Russian ambassador in Baghdad.

A classified version of the Pentagon report, titled "Iraqi Perspectives Project," is not being made public.

In Moscow, a duty officer with Russia's Foreign Ministry declined to comment on the report late Friday evening. No one answered the phones at the Defense Ministry.

U R very welcome for the ping JP.

I tend to agree with the article. Although the jihadis continue to plan attacks, GWB has them under too much pressure. Once that pressure is off they will have the time to plan and execute a successful attack.

Muslim Youth Camp in Iowa Revisited

In 2003, LGF had a series of posts about Muslim Youth Camps of America, a Saudi-connected Wahhabist group, and their plans to set up a Muslim camp in Iowa with help from the US Army Corps of Engineers.

MYCA has now signed the 25-year lease and work will begin soon. (Hat tip: seafarious.)  Hitler youth camp reloaded. If LGF examined MYCA terrorism links in 2003, why didn't the USACE?
