Aha. I agree. Check this out, I save it for moments like this.

One final note on George W. Bushs management style and his Harvard Business School background does not derive from the classroom, per se. One feature of life there is that a subculture of poker players exists. Poker is a natural fit with the inclinations, talents, and skills of many future entrepreneurs. A close reading of the odds, combined with the ability to out-psych the opposition, leads to capital accumulation in many fields, aside from the poker table.
By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand.
This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W. Bushs political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he bides his time, does not respond forcefully, at least at first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent passivity only goads them into making their case more emphatically.

I think he has a card or two he hasn't played yet.
Insane.
Well, I was born Catholic in that case...
So if DPW has purchased the P&O interest, who is running these terminals? Are the Longshoremen going to get locked out while this "new entity" is created?
Sorry I should have responded to "All". There has just been a multitude of racism accusitions from FReepers who can't understand that Bush supporters don't need to stand with him on every issue.
Re #351 -
"I hope president Bush will sever his ties with the RINOS."
Dream on, 'cause it's becoming increasingly apparent that he AM one.
Seems you have more of a problem with DPW's supposed anti-semitism than this Israeli shipping firm.

Israeli company endorses port deal

The chairman of Israel's largest shipping firm has strongly backed a deal that would give a Dubai-based shipping company control of several U.S. port terminals.
The revelation comes as Britain's Royal Court of Justice tentatively approved the $6.8 billion merger between DP World and Britain's P&O, the current operator of terminals at six key U.S. ports.
But pending an appeal by U.S.-based cargo handler Eller & Co., the judge has stayed that approval until 3 p.m. Friday. Nonetheless, DP World has agreed not to assume control of P&O's port operations until a 45-day security review can take place.
In a letter to Sen. Hillary Clinton, obtained exclusively by CNN, Israel's Zim Integrated Shipping Services CEO, Idon Ofer, called DP World a strong business partner, despite the United Arab Emirates' boycott of Israel.
"During our long association with DP World, we have not experienced a single security issue in these ports or in any of the terminals operated by DP World," Ofer said in a letter written February 22. "We are proud to be associated with DP World and look forward to working with them into the future."

I'm interested in seeing what the Republicans in Congress will do next. They seem hellbent on being against the president on just about every issue these days for political reasons.
Exactly, call Haliburton, that might upset the good dhimmis though wouldn't you say?
If there is one redeeming quality out of this whole mess, the GOP made chicken salad out of chicken excrement. And no Chukie Schumer camera stampede.
Unbelievable. They screw up and all of a sudden it's a master plan.
And I think that was TigersEye's take on it, too. I just quoted him a piece of the press release - who knows what is in the fine print?
Curious what the fallout will be
Yes, I have a problem with anti-semitism.
Probably a major window into Iran has just closed.
It stinks!
I've been observing politics for around 40 years, and I feel more sorry for George W. Bush than any other politician I have ever seen. The treatment of him by nearly everyone is despicable.
I'm opposed on several fronts.
First, on priciple. I don't think they've been honest actors when it comes to terrorism. Who were those AE princes "hunting" with bin Laden? Do they regret being used as a transhipment point for the AQ Khan network? Or, as a bin Laden pass-thru point? The Taliban angle. The banking angle. The tipping terrorists off that CIA are waiting for them angle.
Second, security, yes security. While I don't believe they would pay Billions for the chance at committing terror acts, I doubt they would be as strict on background checks of employees. Also, operating terminals at the ports gives employees info about how security works. And, they get to not have to keep their books and documentation here, it gets sent back home to God knows whom...
Thankfully, the WH timed the signing of the Patriot Act on FNC JUST as the Rats had the mikes lined up, their lines rehearsed and their makeup in place. Didn't even see it ... and you know what? I think I, you and hundreds of FReepers could've written his spin, and I don't even want to see it.... LOL. That doesn't mean that it won't replayed ad nauseum .. so I'm sure I won't be able to avoid it by the end of the day.
Now that worries me!
