The Port Jester dances a jig to celebrate his humiliation
of an American ally in the War on Terror. The Big Question:
Will Schumer take responsibility for the unintended consequences?

OK, I'll ask it almost 400 posts in, but just exactly where is this news found? There is no link and all I see is a completely different story at Yahoo front page right now.

"[re using Israeli ports] ....Or would that "offend" our Islammic "Allies" too much to be acceptable? " It's a moot point. Check your map. Israel is a very, very long way by sea from the Gulf. India would be closer.

"Dubai is setting up shop to attract a lot of private industry"
I believe you are correct! I remember reading early on, that the purchase of the UK company by Dubai was an attempt to either strengthen or boost the viability of the Dubai Stock Exchange.

the same. we understand economics and engagement of the trouble spots, not wishing them away.

The American public is also a loser because of loss of air bases, naval bases, etc. Has this been announced?

I should have reminded people to answer honestly, not like a Democrat would.

Funny thing is, that's probably when they'll finally start to realize...they work for US.

LOL sorry pal. I'm neither a mullet or a moonbat. I'm not a demagogue and I don't subscribe to their kneejerk policies.

"Then why is every country where islam is the diminant religion a sesspool?
Why is Israel the only democracy in the ME?
Why were your "wonderful muslims" so quiet after 9/11 and the beheadings?
Then violent after silly cartoons?
The only reason they don't pull that crap here is that they know damn well Americans WON'T tolerate it.
They are honorless cowards.
Bush sells us out to them, is cuddly with them
and you think it is great.
You disgust me and I am ashamed that I share the same species of animal with you."
Ah, your garden variety bigot posts above. We have Islamic allies, we also have Islamic enemies. You're obviously too stupid to recognize the difference. We also have predomintely Christian nations who are our allies and predominately Christian nations who have been our enemies. Do World War I and II Germany or the Soviet Union mean anything to you?
By the way, the Japanese beheaded several hundred Americans on the Bataan Death march alone. And today, Toyota, Honda and Nissan are the top selling cars driven by Americans.

If I had been a "supporter" I could give you an answer but like I said before my objections stem from congress promising a 45 day review then reneging and a dishonorable attempt to attach an amendment to our troops money all for political posturing. All my feeling would have been the same under a Kerry Administration, DON'T MESS WITH TROOPS MONEY OR EVEN ATTEMPT! I was leaning for support because no one demonstrated a real security concern based on facts but I was willing to wait the 45 days to see if something really jumped up. 7 days just didn't cut it for me when the promise was for 45 days.

Of course not, you're way to sophisticated.
(Deja vu moment, I feel like I'm arguing with Democrats)

Opposing this deal does not necessarily make one a Buchanan isolationist...an impossible position for me as my business is International Trade.
To: threeleftsmakearight
"QUESTION FOR ALL SUPPORTERS (ON F.R.) WHO SUPPORT THIS DPW DEAL: How would you have reacted had this deal been proposed during a "Kerry Administration"?" We wouldn't even know about it(Kerry included) because nobody would have tried to make a political hobbyhorse out of it.
The deal was not "proposed" by the Bush Administration. The terminals were put up for bid by P & O and no American company wants to deal with the Longshoremen, so DPW's bid was tops.
