Oh boy - I bet the Iranians are shaking in their boots. The UN is going to "urge" them to stop making enriched uranium AND THEN the UN is going to "call on them to fully cooperate"! Again!!

Indeed. The questions is, why are we allowing Iran to threaten our existence without response? There should be a quick and harmful response inflicting as much damage as possible in and around their highly beloved nuke sites.
Iraq is no longer a threat to our national security. Iran is. It is time to move on to the level in the WOT before it's too late. Pres Bush said we will hunt them down. Well they are already found in the wide open in Iran. They are openly threatening our very existence calling for our destruction on a daily basis.
I wonder what will motivate Pres. Bush to respond?
Iran threatened the United States with “harm and pain” today, for its role in possibly hauling Tehran before the UN Security Council over its nuclear programme.
“The United States has the power to cause harm and pain,” said a statement meant for delivery at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s 35-nation board in Vienna as it focused on Tehran’s refusal to freeze uranium enrichment.
“But the United States is also susceptible to harm and pain. So if that is the path that the US wishes to choose, let the ball roll.”

That is an interesting thought though. By posturing the UN to take action, then it isn't a US invasion.
Legally, the UN has to.

Their economy is almost bankrupt anyway. Besides, they just signed a massive deal with China to develop natural gas fields in Iran. My biggest concern would be that Iran has already purchased the components necessary on the black market to build a warhead which can effectively hedge their expectancy that the world would try to shut down their program once it became public knowledge. They had to realize this long ago - that their program for self sufficient nuclear armament would be doomed unless they could acquire a stopgap weapon to keep the world at bay.
That's what should concern us.

Hello Calpernia, I think GW has already proven the UN has no relevance. Then Kofi and the UN graft takers proved him right with the oil for food scandal.
I've always felt destroying some of their holy sites (ie mecca) would send a convincing message that allah and the imans are frauds and submission would come quickly.
