Corruption in texas - I try and inform everywhere (Texas-size helping of live chow)

Posted on 03/06/2006 8:47:02 AM PST by California citizen

The state of texas in a whole are a bunch of redneck habitual civil rights violators. I've had several encounters with the powers that be mostly in the city of san antonio. They keep the city downtown clean and nice for tourists by locking people up in the bexar county jail.

They receive money for each head in there, so you know it is overcrowded. The gaurds are abusive and feel as thought they will never get in trouble. The jail has been under investigation but to no avail thanks to the good ole' boys in the rest of the state. They trump up charges in order to extort money out of you and throw the book at anyone that tries to question their authority. I read a quote once that stated that "Absoulute power corrupts absolutly", which is the case in the whole crooked state. I could go on all day about the exploits of the legal system in the state. Not to mention the small hick towns like fort stockton, tx. This city and county located on I-10 right past elpaso.

This county is what you call a tourist trap, they make their own rules and no one seems to care. The department of public safety is just as active a participant in all criminalistic practices as well as the district attorneys, and judges. Someone needs in investigate the whole situation you can talk to just about anyone in their system and they will tell you. These practices needs to stop. Tourists need to stop visiting texas and spending their money their. They are just encouraging these criminalistic practices.

The state of texas in a whole needs to be taught that the good ole' days are over. So in short do not visit the state of texas and do not support the evil.

You said -- "The state of texas in a whole are a bunch of redneck habitual civil rights violators.

That's a pretty broad statement. I doubt you can support it. However, this sort of looks like a "hit and run post" to me. I haven't seen you responding to anything here. I haven't seen a more detailed explanation of what you're talking about -- just broad allegations.

I'm not ignorant of a different type of attitude in Texas than you might find elsewhere. I'm from Texas, and Oklahoma and Oregon (too). So, I've got a comparison of the West Coast to Texas and Oklahoma.

I've noticed that people Oregon are more "laid back" than people in Texas (just a general impression that I have). That just seems to be a regional difference. They do seem to be more "strict" with many things in society than they might be in Oregon. But, that's not all bad.

However, I don't take it to mean, from your comments, that you're talking about different attitudes -- but rather -- allegations of illegal activity in the government. If that's so, then it should be brought out and discussed.

But, what you've brought out so far doesn't leave anyone with any facts to discuss. It's just generalities and we can all engage in speaking in generalities all day long and never get anywhere.

Perhaps that's all you wanted to do -- just hollar and yell and then go away. I don't know. If you want to do something about it -- you're going to have to discuss this a lot more than what you've done.

For example -- you said -- "So in short do not visit the state of texas and do not support the evil."

If you think you're going to start a "boycott of Texas" just on those words, you're tremendously naive. Do you really think that just because you wrote that sentence that you're going to get millions of people to do it? If so, you've got other problems.

Where are the details? Where are the facts? Do you have some others who can provide details of their own -- and not simply your own biased information?

Come on now..., you're not that stupid, are you?

IBTZ. I stand in awe of your superior California public education. Your writing skills are almost on a par with Texas first-graders. Twelve years of California schooling, far out man.

Why do you care about Texas? California is a complete mess. Worry about that.

You said -- "The best part is we get to zot you over and over."

That sounds just like the cats that I used to have. They loved to play with the things that they caught. :-)

...it keeps the riff-raff out of Texas...

Well, most of it anyway. Seems as if this one is moving from west to east. Looking forward to East Texas.

No, he was probably sober. He was looking for Brokeback Mountain cowboys and did not find any here. He didn't realize we carry different guns than the one he was looking for.

I used to live in Texas, in Baytown. I really liked Houston and the Mexican and Mex-Tex food was wonderful. Texans can't barbecue, though. They cook something called "beef", and smoke it on some weed called "mesquite". I never could figure out what that was all about. Evil grin.

Sounds like somebody went out, got drunk and spent the night in jail in San Antonio. Hint: Texas ain't California. Also, you capitalize Texas.

Sounds like you are really looking for a fight.

As a matter of fact I have some mesquite chunks and a couple of porterhouses.

Kick the tires and light the fires.

LOL
