I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...
Too true, RightWingAtheist!
You could also add Ron Howard. Who actually went to Roger to star in "Grand Theft Auto". With the stipulation that Ron would direct two of Roger's films at no cost!
Corman has a nose for Talent like no one's business. His number of "Roger Corman Commandos" are legion and legendary!
Jack.
Queers want companionship for yik yakking they go for women.....beautiful or rich....or both.
Trust me.....I know these things. I have a lot more contact with the homosexual world than I care to.
Why they wrap their identity up around their affection and desire for another man's fecal orifice is beyond me.
I love women but don't identify myself by my affections for their lips, breasts and vagina.
It's about sex....sexual perversion to me anyhow.
Maybe Dave Chappelle can host next year?
That one was all mine, believe it or not. :)
I don't really want to count any "hanging chads" when it comes to gay love movies.
And the Cheney shooting joke was funny!
Bjork (the swan wearer) didn't come tonight because she was afraid she would get shot by Cheney - or something like that.
It was more a slam on Bjork and her ridiculous outfits and less a slam on Cheney.
IMHO.
I would love to see Dave Chapelle host, to tell you the truth.
Ya'll are at least consistent....beats being dilletante.
Hollywood's hatred for lousy white comedians was so prevailant in those days, wasn't it?
You know what that means. Tomorrow morning Hollywood will call a huge Executive Producer phone conference, where they will wonder what happened? They will throw ideas around, someone MAY mention that perhaps, PERHAPS, they used bad judgement with this film. And if Hollywood wants to survive, it's time to stop with all the in-your-face agendas. It will get very quiet on the phone line, then someone will quietly say "I think we need to make Brokeback Mountain 2, the public obviously needs MORE gay stories, until they understand". Someone agrees, followed by talking heads parroting moreMoreMORE. They hang up and start the same crap again, having learned absolutely nothing tonight/this year.
GOOD!!! I'm happy to hear that.....heehee.
I got the impression that Stewart wasn't given much good material to shine. From what little I saw, he wasn't bad, but not great.
Thank you Dashing Dasher.
I didn't get to see it, and my husband accidentally erased the show on TIVO. Did Normann say anything?
ROFL...good one!
That was a stupid but funny movie.
Stewart's performance was the best by an MC I've seen in a long time.
Which is why this was yet another night of me NOT watching the Oscars. The only thing I want from them anymore is to file Chapter 11.
Some of the old celebrities he interviewed were good conservatives like Eddie Albert, Tony Curtis, Cliff Robertson and several sweet old ladies.
I will NOT be buying or renting any one of these films listed here in Bablywood tonight.
There once was a time in America, when Hollywood
Sir, I tip my hat to you. I watched this movie three times and did see the humanity at the end when Dillion pulled the lady out of the car (didn't she win an oscar?)....but didn't put it all together.
