My son goes to the community college in Fort Pierce Fl.that refused to let The passion be shown on campus.
He says many of his professors simply trash the U.S. at every chance. As for Christianity? They pillery it.

I heard Mr. Horowitz speak on the Dennis Prager show yesterday. Wonderful. What bothers me very much is that we only hear these subjects when someone writes a book. They go on tour, the right wing media tout the book, and then it is completely forgotten. This book is a fertile source of follow-on journalistic investigation and major future headlines. So was Ann Coulter's book "Treason". But after the book tour and a little punditry....silence from the right. What's up with that? The left sure isn't going to pursue it. Is there no one out there in the journalistic world, even on the right, who sees the potential impact this information could have? No journalists to carry the ball?

I have to say that I don't like this at all. College is for thinking and learning. When I was there I learned about all sorts of philosophies from Communist to Capitalist to anarchist to nationalist. Let's give our young people some credit for being able to parse the data and come to their own conclusions.

Freedom of speech is the most important right we have. Even the commies get a voice, just like we have to tolerate the Klan, the Nation of Islam, and whatever other kooks come along. It's the American Way.

I appreciate your comments, however, what is going on in college is not the same as it used to be. It is entirely dominated by the political left. They use their podium for indoctrination, and many are openly hostile to those with a different point of view. Students are a captive audience, and in many cases, it really does affect their grades. That is wrong.

From what I hear the students are increasingly more conservative, breaking with the faculty. Given the tendency of kids that age to be oppositional to adult authority, there's bound to be a backlash against an aging liberal establishment.

I think it would interesting to see what percentage of collegiate academia are recent/1st generation immigrant's. I would guess a significant portion of them are. Apparently they do not share the same personal investment in USA that the rest of us do.

What was your job?

Hell, I just was a communications expert at the pentagon, Hoffman building in D.C. and command center in Seoul Korea 69-72. And at times I was scared to death. I can't imagine what you guys did or felt.

I was a AH-1G Cobra and UH-1H Huey crew chief. Approx 15 hours left seat time in the UH, some front seat time in the Cobra. WO/pilot candidate till they started RIF'ng out the commissioned officers in '76 '77

Hundreds of hours in the air --NOE flight at 110 knots thru the rolling Topography of Ft. Hood Tx, (with elevations ranging from roughly 400 to 600 feet), coming back with branches in the skid tubes, shredded rotor blade tips was not to rare of an occurrence. Night missions. There were a few accidents -mid airs- etc. I almost got ran over by a M-113 one night. Thereafter I slept in the UH so what I might get an article 15 for it! Twice one WO1 flew us onto live fire ranges that were 'hot' LOL

Lots of maintenance test flights

Lots and lots of weapons exercises, gunnery(m16, M60, 50cal,2.5 rockets 20MM slung off the Cobra) etc.

But the 2-1 Cav incorporated all elements of Cav, and we were in the field 4 months out of the year so there was opportunity to get into other areas somewhat if you wanted. The 2-1 Cav supported the 2nd Ar Div. Gen Patton was our Comdr, met him twice once in the field.

We had a battalion motocross team. I owned and raced a '75 360 Pursang, then a KTM 350(mint 400). Rode the Montesa VR250, Maico 400, Suzuki TM400 and Suzuki RM370.

I almost went into the service mid 71 (combat arms mos) but chickend out at the last minute.

Our unit forward deployed in Korea and Germany, wish I had went to both.

All jobs are needed, without you comms guys, we would be 'deaf'. I can understand why one might be scared in Korea at that time, we were loaded up to go when they hacked up the soldiers in the DMZ.
