I'm sorry, I know how alot of you feel, but to make a woman carry a baby conceived from rape is so incredibly wrong.
And killing a baby isn't?
I see, so you'd rather murder a child for the sins of his father.
Actually, if ya' jus' gotta' kill somebody why not take the rapist out and execute him.
You're right, killing an innocent child is much better. /sarc
It isn't the babies fault. Why kill it?
Someone might like to adopt a new baby.
I have a friend who is the result of her Mother being raped. Would you tell her to her face that she doesn't deserve to live?
This is the tough one. But, if one really believes what you have is life as soon as a child is conceived, isn't it murder to kill that child?
Maybe some kind of morning-after pill exception with proper and immediate reporting of the crime to authorities, and parents if the girl is under age 18. But it would have to be strictly enforced and not become a loophole.
One can't help but wonder if there would be less cases of rape if abortion weren't an option.
President Bush is consistent in in view. I'm surprised so many have a problem with consistency.
So you think a baby should die because his/her conception was the result of somebody else's crime?
You think that's justice?
No, to rape a woman is "incredibly wrong". To not execute a rapist is "incredibly wrong". And...
...to slaughter a child, because of who/what his father is or did is INCREDIBLY WRONG. We are more than just a memorial to our parents. We are all of us, even the bastards, created in the image of God and we glorify his goodness, grace and mercy.
Rob Roy: "It's not the child that needs killin"

The stupidity of comments these days on Freepers.
DID IT OCCUR TO YOU THAT THE MURDER OF A LITTLE BABY IS INCREDIBLY WRONG???????????//
Guess not
I think maybe a better way to put it is many evangelicals and practicing Catholics see life, any life, no matter how conceived, a blessing from God.
In addition, someone suggested a morning after pill. Again, especially in the Catholic faith, people believe life begins at conception. So a morning after pill is out of the question for them too.
Of course I know many evangelicals who are ardent pro-life, yet they themselves use oral contraceptives which cause a fertilized egg to pass the uterus and become part of the monthly menstrual flow. They reason it does this is the oral contraceptive causes the uterus to be hostile to implantation. But it is a fertilized egg, with cell division and DNA already underway. So of those pro-life folks using those types of oral contraceptives are possibly some of the folks who were so strident in calling you out for wanting to allow, like the President has suggested, abortion for cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother was in danger.
Agree, but this "abortion in the case of rape" thing is nothing more than a red herring.
How many of the approximately 1.5 million abortions annually in the States are a result of a "rape situation?"
I bet it's in the hundreds or even less making it statistically insignificant. Yet, it's often what drives the issue.
It's "Legislating by exception" at its finest as I say.
Yeah, after all, the baby is responsible for the rape so it should die.
I agree with you--the president is right again.
Fortunately, a large percentage of these women believe that to make them kill their innocent babies just because the fathers were rapists, is incredibly wrong. Yet that is what "counsellors" and "social workers" try to do every chance they get. And some of those who give in to the abortionist describe the experience as being raped all over again.
