Tony Snow is back and better than ever!  Tony's guests and topics on today's Tony Snow Show include:

Sensible People Object
What does it mean when sensible politicians like Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) object to the port deal? Tony takes a close look.

Bush Comes Down Hard
The President came out strong on the port issue, saying he would veto any legislation to block the port deal. The President's protected us before; should we trust him this time?

So What's Really Going On at the Ports?
Intrepid reporter Griff Jenkins went on a tour of the Port of Baltimore, one of the ports slated to have its operations transferred to Dubai Ports World, to find out exactly what goes on there.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later.

If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request.
All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time
-- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

Actually, Rummy didn't say that he didn't know what they were talking about. He said that he wasn't an expert in the process, but described the process.

Listen to Tony for the facts. Anyplace else, you get hysteria.

Advertisement over. ;->

Tony would be awesome, but he is a better spokesman by addressing his concerns to his millions of fans. I'm sure he knows of several people who would do a better job than Scotty has! From day one, I knew he was going to make the president seem weak and whiney. It's funny, too, he has a mom--Carol K. Strayhorn--who is a real fire-breathing dragon here in Texas. Scott needs to be more like is mom! LOL!

That is NOT an advertisement...it is the total truth. Tony IS the voice of reason around the airwaves. He gets the facts first and then has informed guests and intelligent debate!....okay, I'm a Snowbot...but I'm right on this one! :o)

Rumsfeld didn't know about this, but that military guy (sorry, I've forgotten his name) was on tv yesterday saying what a good ally they were and how vetted the company was.

Ouch.

Scotts mom says she is one tough grandma, but none of my fellow Texans are voting for her. Voting for Perry today.. in early voting.

And it's a pity that everyone raising a stink waited until a week or two before the change of hand goes through to have a hissy.

Boy, looks like the press hounds are really out to make it look like the administration "didn't know about the deal".

This seems to be the story line they are running with today.

Sorry....it is just that the "hatefulness" from and King and the other person was so startling...I just HAD to ask here if that came across with Tony's interview..

I have stopped listening to the person who shall not be named...(head hanging in shame)...

According to yesterday's briefing (I'm looking at the transcript), Rummy found out about ti at the same time Peter King did. However, DoD did have representatives in the decision making process, but since Treasury was the lead agency, the DoD guys reported to John Snow, not Rummy.

Gen. Peter Pace, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, made the point that the UAE has been very supportive of the war on terror.

If this is a correct quote from McClellan, then the media running with "the president didn't know about the deal" is, for once, correct.

He became aware of it over the last several days," McClellan said. Asked if Bush did not know about it until it was a done deal, McClellan said, "That's correct."

"The president made sure to check with all the Cabinet secretaries that are part of this process, or whose agencies or departments are part of this process," the spokesman said. "He made sure to check with them — even after this got more attention in the press, to make sure that they were comfortable with the decision that was made."

This seems to be the story line they are running with today.

Yes, the "action line", as Rush calls it, will be that the Administration was too dumb, too in the bubble, too something or other, to pay attention to what is going on so obviously they can't be trusted to keep us safe.
