Tony Snow is back and better than ever!  Tony's guests and topics on today's Tony Snow Show include:

Sensible People Object
What does it mean when sensible politicians like Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) object to the port deal? Tony takes a close look.

Bush Comes Down Hard
The President came out strong on the port issue, saying he would veto any legislation to block the port deal. The President's protected us before; should we trust him this time?

So What's Really Going On at the Ports?
Intrepid reporter Griff Jenkins went on a tour of the Port of Baltimore, one of the ports slated to have its operations transferred to Dubai Ports World, to find out exactly what goes on there.

You can find out more information about the line-up, stream Tony's show, find local radio stations as well as other fun stuff off his website.

CLICK HERE and follow the "Listen Live" link to stream the show which runs from 9 AM est to noon.

And there's more!

Here's the deal: For those fans who would like to ask for a photo-- please send an email request to Tony at tonysnow@foxnews.com (please note in the subject line of the email "For Tony")  and provide your home mailing (not email) address. Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later.

If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request.
All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time
-- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

Thanks defconw, it would be one thing if we had a dozen American countries lined up to lease the port but we don't.
And if we start doing a litmus test on every US asset that is sold or leased to a foreign entity we will be in big trouble. We won't be freedom loving capitalists anymore we will be something else.

"Outside of the Dims trying to take Nat'l Security over as an issue and a few others that have been mentioned, I think another main issue of this is some in congress trying to tie the President's hands on yet another issue - - CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT - -they're screaming yet again - - they seem to want to have oversight on everything he does lately, including every time he blows his nose."

BINGO.

There was also an issue re: another port company that some wanted to get the deal. Anyone have the bidders to Britain to take over P&O?

I hope you feel better, Mo1.

If anything could give us a headache it's trying to figure out why this matter has been handled the way it has. It's gotten a lot of people, especially 9/11 families, legitimately upset.

King just mentioned the Port Authority of NY - doesn't Chuckie's wife hold a position there?

I think the DIMs just think they've found another issue that they can make the administration look bad. It will blow up in their faces yet again...think Wylie Coyote...but meanwhile we'll hear more about this than we ever wanted to. George W. Bush is not going to do anything that will compromise our security. He is the only one who has been concerned with it all along. I just shake my head at the hysteria! I'm glad Tony is trying to talk to reasonable people who know what they're talking about.

I think there are legitimate concerns about this from both sides of the aisle. We need more information and Peter King is saying there wasn't a complete investigation.

I know some freepers are saying that the republicans opposed are stabbing the president in the back, but I don't think Peter King or Mike Pence have a history of being that type of Republican. So if they have concerns, I think it's legitimate that we have questions and concerns.

And this is what I don't get - why wasn't anyone in the administration assigned as the point person and out there telling us why this is a good thing?

This interview with Peter King is great. Tony is exposing that Peter King really doesn't have a clue what he's talking about on this subject.

I have to run for a bit too. Will check back in.

I think there are legitimate points on both sides of this deal and we really need someone within the administration doing PR on this and presenting the facts.

My concern centers totally around the man Tony is now interviewing, Rep. King [because of his position on the Homeland Security Committee]. If Tony skewers him, I'll be quiet.

King: We should look into providing financial incentives to American companies to do this work. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO.

AHAH! Peter King wants to provide "INCENTIVES" to American companies, just like I heard the democrat Menendez from New Jersey say this morning.

I agree that the ball was dropped on this issue in educating the public. I am most appreciative to Tony and the guests he is having on the show for giving the facts and concerns.

Yep and all this knee-jerk reactionism helps nothing. Frist just shot himself again. The guy is a joke. He should have picked up the phone and asked the Administration for clarification if he truly is concerned. This is a bunch of people trying to run for President and re-election and they are ruining their credibility with me. I love Sean and Mark, but they knee-jerk all the time. My thoughts tend to run with Limbaugh and Snow. More tempered. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but not their own facts. Thank You Pat Monihan, back when Democrats were reasonable.

These congresscritters want to pick their own companies to award contracts to. They are so hopelessly compromised, they no longer support capitalism.
