Clinton Says Secrecy Inflamed Cheney Issue (Bill: "I didn't feel the need to get into the pile-on")

President Clinton said the Bush administration's "enormous penchant for secrecy" sparked the strong reaction to Vice President Dick Cheney's shooting mishap.

"We have people quite often who are shot in quail incidents, so I didn't feel the need to get into the pile-on," Clinton said on ABC's "Good Morning America."

"I think the White House should have said something about it sooner," Clinton said. "I think that it's gotten a little more light than it would have because the administration has an enormous penchant for secrecy for not telling anybody anything about anything."

Oh yeah... Cheney didn't inform the press. Meanwhile, the victim was treated medically, the police were informed, and everybody who had to know was told. The press didn't have this story handed to them 30 seconds after the accident.

Thus, it must have been kept a secret.

I wonder if the press was informed 30 seconds after Clinton climaxed on Lewinski's blue dress.

Who cares? Clinton's impeachment was about comitting perjury and suborning witnesses, not sex. If a president could be impeached merely for depravity, he wouldn't have lasted a week on the job.
