Battleship Brouhaha

from "Hannity & Colmes," ...

SEAN HANNITY...from San Francisco tonight, the board of supervisors here overwhelmingly voted to reject a plan last year that would bring the historic World War II Iowa battleship right here to San Francisco harbor, as a museum and tourist center.

We're now joined by one of the supervisors that voted against that plan, Gerardo Sandoval is with us.

You don't want a symbol of war in the harbor. Is what you said to me.

GERARDO SANDOVAL: That's right...

it's a warship and it's got guns on it. It fires things. You know, you can't deny what it is.

SANDOVAL: I don't think we should have a military. Absolutely.

SANDOVAL: The United States should not have a military. All in all, we would be in much, much, much better shape.

...what do you want to defend ourselves with?

SANDOVAL: Well, you got cops. It's called the Coast Guard.

HANNITY: I've got to tell you, this is a first. You made look Alan look like a hawk.

I'm going to tell you something. If America is attacked, you have no defenses.

You have no liberty.

You have no freedom.

You can't think in such a shallow way.

You've got to tell me that this is a joke.

HANNITY: Or when al Qaeda attacks you, what are you going to do?

"To which Sandoval arrogantly quipped: “Welcome to San Francisco.”

The SF nut is telling it as it is.

Wall off SF and make it a defense free zone. With enough preparation, we can use it for bait for all sorts of enemies. SF could become the Roach Motel for enemies - they move in, but never move out.

All we would be placing at risk would be people like Sandoval.

I would think that most San Franciscan's would find the idea of anybody bringing a set of 16 inchers to town, rather exciting.

Very punney.

"This guy is a complete idiot and someone should cut off his balls so he doesn't breed."

If he is truly representative of a large part of the denizens of SF, you need not fear his reproducing.

Well, not quite.

If some invader smoked SF and annhilated Sand Oval and the people that elected him, the rest of us would still have to saddle up and drive the invader back to where he came from.

We couldn't have him coming any farther inland.

We lost the use of part of a small island near Puerto Rico
for naval...marine training.

We could use SF for naval landing practice.

After landing in SF, assuming they didn't use full dry suits and closed circuit breathing gear, just how far could they get?

Cops will have their firearms taken away from them if they get their way (except special SWAT units). Other than that, the only ones in SF with firearms will be criminals.

Well, we need to fuel and ammo up old BB-35, sail to San Fran, shell the crap out of them until the rocks don't bounce and tow the Iowa back to Houston where God intended old warriors to rest!

You come on up, Texas, I'll thin out the herd for you...

There one now! Halt! KaBOOM! In the names of the...
