Michael Savage is talking to Chuck Schumer at this very minute.
Bush isn't getting a dime from the UAE based DWI buying the British P&O company. The UAE isn't buying our ports. They can't. They're buying a British operations company that conducts operations at the ports such as off-loading containers, etc. The ports still belong to the US. And any of the ports can opt to use a different operating company other than P&O if they're not comfortable with the DWI buy-out. This is one of the most misrepresented stories in years. We can argue I guess that it's not good to have a UAE-based company taking over port operations from this British company, but let's be accurate about what's going on. And by the way, American employees of P&O will continue to work at the ports that decide to keep the DWI operating company in place.
This is a bipartisan victory... I hate that Schumer and Hillary Clinton will be considered the winners on this...

also a good point by King, operational details of security at the ports must be shared with the company operating the facilities - and that management chain would lead right back to the UAE.
That's been the typical reaction around here on many subjects for the past couple years. Headline commentators are a dime a dozen.
Like I said, I take a more critical approach.
He's certainly mis-representing it. I just don't think it's anything to get in a twist about. P&O is a British company. DWI which is buying them out is based in the UAE. That I'm aware of no one has shown them in any way to be a security threat. And the same American employees working for P&O will continue on with DWI.
Cavuto, Dobbs, everyone - Repubs and Dems don't like this deal. Bush is out of his mind on this one.
If Peter King really gave a sh!t about this issue, he wouldn't have waited until it became a hot topic of discussion in the media before getting off his @ss and doing something about it.

Being in favor of this as you apparently are, perhaps you'd like to argue why it's GOOD to have a UAE-based company taking over port operations?
Correction. They only inspect 5% of the containers. This makes the deal extremely dangerous.
