I suppose that quoting Al Franken for evidence of liberal media bias is, if you'll excuse the expression, like shooting fish in a barrel.
Nevertheless, perhaps it's useful for the archives to record one of Franken's remarks this evening in the course of his appearance on MSNBC's 'Scarborough Country.'
Commenting on Vice President Cheney's failure to follow Harry Whittington to the hospital, Franken stated:
"It's inconceivable that you don't go to the hospital unless there's a reason you don't go to the hospital. If you had been drinking, you wouldn't go to the hospital. Or, you're an amazing jerk, that's the other. Or both."
Well, at least Al offered a couple options.
Someone who gets zero ratings on TV quoting someone who gets zero ratings on radio. All hail the New Media!
What did Al think Ted Kennedy's excuse was?
Wow, two attempts at putting a punchline on this story, and neither one of them is funny. Al has certainly not lost his comedic touch.
Al Franken-phobia ping to the Today Show ping list.
What was Cheney supposed to do at the hospital?
He knew that the fellow was OK.
Scarborough is an $ss for having him on.
Comidic touch
Reminds me of a song I used to hear on Sesame Street years ago.
One of these things is not like the other
One of these things is not quite the same
Perhaps it's the case that the chimp flatters the prejudices of the idiot class that resides in Manhattan.
Anyone notice that the hospital guy giving out the info on Whittington looks like the Donut Eating FAKE SCIENTIST on the Holiday Inn Express commercials!!
When Al Franken isn't funny, he gets mean. And he's never funny.
Scarborough is an ass, even with Al off the show..
Semper Fi
Amen! Why anyone who even pretends to be a real media source would interview this ass, I have no idea!
Why not just interview Paris Hilton and ask her opinion of the whole thing? You'd get the same depth and weighty response.
If anyone knows a jerk when they see one, its Franken. He's been seeing one in the mirror his entire life.
Franken seems to have a knack for accusing others of substance abuse. Any background history of his that makes him an expert?
Cheney is surrounded by law officers 24-7, so there is zero chance he could drink and any of them would allow him to then handle a gun.
Yeah I was tuned in to this sorry episode. I guess it never bothered either one to think that just maybe the secret service "taking over" a wing of the hospital to protect the VP just may have been a bit disruptive.
Al, the idiot, Franken keeps insinuating Cheney was drunk because the high sheriff didn't ride into the ranch and test everybody. I heard the secret service called the sheriff within an hour and told them the VP was available if needed and the sheriff told them he would see them the next morning.
I think this was on "Hairball" with Chrissie and he didn't like the guy saying it. I watch so many of the left wing moonbats just to keep an eye on the enemy. It's also a very, very entertaining habit.
Thanks GLGB for all the pings and all you do.
Scarborough is an a$$, period.
I am sure that Cheney didn't want the attention that would have to directed HIS way...if he went to the hospital.
This was about his friend...and the hospital, and doctors did not need the headache of the VPOTUS showing up at the hospital.
