btw, one of my most treasured possessions (it's framed on the wall of my old bedroom at mother's, as i write these lines.) is an official US Department of War poster from 1943.
it bears the likeness of USA & CSA flags, crossed at the staff. the caption below reads,
"Join the Army & Help the South Win the War".

What a neat memento. It must be worth a lot...especially to you. I have a few old Life Magazines from the WWII era...they were even patriotic back then.

Yep and just now got home to fix dinner. Browning pork cubes, then will add 8 oz of chicken broth, a bay leaf, 4 oz frozen Chow - Mein package, 4 oz pettite whole onions, and simmer for 30 minutes.

Poor Kathy..that stupid new system still givin' ya fits? Our new one still has bugs in it, too. It's supposed to be easier, and in a few areas it is, but mostly it is just a pain in the b***!

I think that's great. My hubby would probably like that magazine. He does subscribe, or has, to the Weight Watcher's Magazine that has lots of recipes.
Bet you've found a few new ones on this thread today, huh?
