Olive oil is the stuff but it doesnt hold that well so I buy it in smaller quantities
Thanks Sis!
smooch!
Luv, our Sissy is here!
Ms.B
No it doesn't! (I'm very sensitive that way.)
Only disclaimer: The Powdered Whey Low does affect me that way. (It must be because of the corn starch added to keep it from clumping.)
My morning wake-up drink (made in a larger mug) now is 2 tsp. of cocoa, 1 tsp Kava low-acid instant coffee, and 2 tsp. Whey Low, mixed together and added to 1 cup hot water and about 1/4 cup heavy cream. Yum! 4 effective carbs.
Yeeeeaaaaa!!!! ***smooches*** all around.
How are you, Sissy? Good to see you here...the three of us together for the first time in forever! Wow!
My husband tried Splenda and he liked it in his coffee, but he now he uses Stevia which is from a plant. No chemicals. I don't know if you can cook with it.
WOW! That sounds yummy.
I'm gonna have to go make some popcorn. Between you and Jhohanna's Straeberry thingy my tummy's talking... LOL
You CAN cook with stevia -- but if I get something sweet enough for me with it, it comes with a pretty stiff licorice/anise taste and I'm not a fan of licorice
Appropriate!
That sounds and looks like a very good recipe. Do you mean a bay leaf when mentioning laurel leaf?
LOL.
It is yummy and my kids and pets love it.
The best thing about this recipe is that you can have two meals in one.
I usually use the left over broth and some of the veggies for chicken noodle soup.
It's quick and easy.
That looks fantastic!
Taz's Bourbon Balls.
3 Cups of ground Vanilla Wafers
1 cup of ground nut meats ( I prefer pecan)
2 cups of powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbs of cocoa (optional)
1/2 cup of brandy, bourbon, or rum ( pick one, not all of them)
Mix well.
Using a melon baller mold into large grape sized balls.
Dust with powdered sugar and store in airtight container
Or
4 0z of semisweet chocolate bits and
4 oz of butter.
Slowly bring chocolate to melting stirring constantly, add butter 1 tbs at a time until chocolate is smooth but coats the back of the spoon thickly. It should be glossy appearing.
Dip bourbon balls in chocolate..Let them set up on waxed paper and then store in airtight container.
Look LUV...no heat (unless you want them chocolate coated..)
Awesome pics Lauren.
I'll have to look that up.
It would have taken me to long to translate the recipe from German to English so I had the computer do the translation and I had to fix quite a few things before I could post it,since the translation was garbled.LOL.
Never let a machine do the work for you.~chuckle~
I think it is a bay leaf.
I'll confirm in a minute.:)
Wow! Those sound awesome...and no cooking. I think I have found a recipe that I can do! LOL! I think I gained a pound just reading the ingredients! :o)
The translation is *great*! I am soooo excited about trying this recipe. My husband saw the picture and exclaimed that I have to make it! He hasn't had this since he was a boy...I try to make a lot of German dishes for him, and I've gotten pretty good. But still I make a lot of Asian and Italian. Thank you again!
Stevia has an aftertaste for me, too. I've tried drops and granular (that comes in packets). Plus, I have to be careful with Stevia or, for me, it causes lower digestive upset! (That's putting it politely.) ;)
Hey, you! Yes a bay leaf and a laurel leaf are the same.
It's good to see you here! (((hugs))) Did you post a good German recipe for us somewhere?
Hi Vicki,it's a bay leaf.
Wonderful!
Thanks Trillain!
