The president went to Dublin, Ohio, to attend a meeting on health savings accounts. Al Hubbard, Director of the National Economic Council, answers questions on this topic on "Ask the White House."
Brit Hume interviewed the vice president today about the hunting accident; the conversation will be on Special Report, Fox News, at the usual air times tonight. The vice president called the day of the hunting accident "one of the worst days of my life." Harry Whittington is doing "extremely well" a day after he suffered a minor heart attack, doctors said. He is sitting up, eating, and doing some work while remaining in the hospital.
Mrs. Bush spoke about women and heart disease during a visit to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
There are some late photos from last night's Valentine's Day dinner at the White House.

Thanks, Luvya. I still think it's her ugliest dress. :-)
But she's still gorgeous.

"Hi trg - I agree re the colors in Laura's dress. They make her complexion glow. She's so beautiful anyway ... but wearing the right colors really helps bring out her beauty."
Hi! She does look so wonderful in the jewel tones and bright colors. But she never, in my opinion, looked better than inauguration day in that white coat and dress. It was ethereal, almost. She's just such a lady. Maybe that's what we should call them - the lady and the cowboy!!
To: the rightgirl
Oh, right. Of course Ronald Reagan could too. Cowboy presidents are awesome :)

The photo of "Dubya" in black tie & cowboy boots sitting in the chair excellent! And so very snagged!
To: DesertDreamer
It breaks your heart to watch him. You can't fake what is clearly shown on his face.

snugs, that is what my scarf looks like that Kristy knit, except it's a gorgeous soft silvery green.

"seems something a little ironic to talk about health care at the headquarters of fast food outlet."
Zing.
But Wendy's is serving a more health-conscious menu than in earlier days.

I had cable for a few years, then didn't have it for seven years, and have it now. It was very hard to get the news with access only to abc, nbc, cbs, and pbs. Rush Limbaugh saved my sanity through the clinton years. It is tremendously relieving to have Fox.

Thanks so much for the Dose, Gretchen! You put up a great collection of pictures.
Howlin, do you happen to have the link to that story about First Daughter Barbara SNUBBING the Washington Post? I have been chuckling over that one all afternoon!

Yes they are! I was 26 when Ronald Reagan was elected and he was 70, but I was so infatuated with him! Even at 70! He was still so youthful and still had those classic looks! And of course, in his old movies he was quite a dish!
I was 46 when W was elected in 2000 and he was 56 - a much better margin for infatuation! But he reminded me more of RR than his own daddy in so many ways! Still does.

Oh yes - that is a lovely woman. She needs no color, no adornment, just her sweet soul.
