I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

Why is my BS meter going off? Time to get it re-calibrated then...is it still under warranty?

"Man, I hope he doesn't die. The press would have a field day. Even if it wasn't due to the shotgun pellets, it would be a circus."
Serious response: I wish him well. An elderly man, a good man by all accounts. CNN says he is having heart problems because of a pellet in his heart.
Not so serious response: If you wanted a conspiracy theory- A Republican loyalist agrees to be shot to give Vice President Cheney an excuse to resign so President Bush/Karl Rove can pick a new VP for a Presidential run.

"Man, I hope he doesn't die. The press would have a field day. Even if it wasn't due to the shotgun pellets, it would be a circus."I work with a lib, and even she admits that the press - especially the narcistic White House press corp gaggle of wackos - have gone off the deep end. She actually said to me yesterday, to paraphrase: "Enough about Cheney... What are we going to do about that guy in Iran?!?! He's nuts!!"
Hmmm, even some on the left are "getting it." :-)
Double WOW. A lib worried about the nut in Iran. Simply amazing.

No reasonable person is going to hold this tragic accident against Dick Chaney if Whittington dies.
We're talking the Washington DC press corps here - they will go into hyper-spin.

It's a coincidence<<
Actually it is directly related. Read the thread.

They're absolutely despicable.
We'd best not detect ANY glee in their reports.

Drudge now says he suffered a "heart irregularity".
Somebody better put 24/7 protection on this elder.
Nothing better for the liberals and the MSM to see this guy expire in the hospital right now.
At the very least, we should make David Gregory be a taster for him.

Fox News presser verifying this. This is totally off the subject, but I've always been interested in the evolution of the English language. I don't recall seeing press conferences referred to as "pressers" before late last year. Does anyone know the origin of this term?

Husband said this is not bad at all... that he'll be fine.
He said they are treating him very conservatively, which is appropriate.

I can detect the glee in their reports, everytime an American team loses a medal in the Olympics.
To: gondramB
Another not so serious conspiracy response: The elderly gentleman had better watch out for liberal Bush/Chaney media trying to create news.

I don't know, exactly, but I remember hearing the term from Public Relations flacks at least two decades ago.
