My point was that "going through the motions" won't do it.

I will support Katherine Harris and donate once my hurricane repairs are under way. I'll have an idea of the total damage$ by then...

In recent weeks, several Republican political leaders in Florida have stopped trying to push Katherine Harris out of the U.S. Senate campaign and decided to support her efforts.

In other words they couldn't find anyone else to run.

Why aren't they running a man? Why are they surrendering the seat to Sir Nelson for life?

Go away.

Tell Harris to change her mind about drilling off the coast. Until then no spreading the word of how Harris would be effective in maintaining liberty and free us from dependence on foreign oil.

how can any such poll be reliable, when the survey is only of a few hundred people ?! AND what can be 'scientifically accurate about something as fluid as a 'public opinion poll' ?

The process is scientific, if applied correctly. It's basic statistics. And the scientific processes apply whether one is speaking of political races, consumer surveys or favorite football teams. If they were not reliable, you would not see so many polls coming up with similar ranges. You'd have one poll showing Harris leading 63-34, another with Nelson leading 58-29, etc.

And even if done perfectly, a poll is considered only 95% accurate (again based on statistics).

In other words, you're holding your breath until you get your way on your pet issue. Something tells me your "spreading the word" wasn't worth all that much to begin with.

I just went to the NRSC site to check their FL Senate race page. Couldn't find a single mention that Katherine Harris even exists, much less is challenging Nelson. (I wrote them a nasty gram.)

I'll take this article with a grain of salt until I see that situation change.

OKaaay, honey bunch.

When women quit wearing make-up, lip stick, lip gloss, eye liner, eye shadow, pushup bras, low cut tops, tight skirts, high heels and all the other accoutrements designed to GET MEN TO LOOK AT THEM then all of us "hot-babe hormoners" will discontinue our "tiresome" behavior.

Pet issue my behind.

We are in a war and you support being dependent on some of those we are at war with, give me a freaking break.

Also I don't think Chavez would be a kind of person you want to prop up more.

Since maintaining a "pristine" beach is one of Harris's "pet issues", tell me how Harris will maintain liberty and free us from dependence on foreign oil? Hybrids, Bwahahahahah!!!

I'm not promoting her, Harris basher. And I couldn't care less about your P-E-T issue.

Who says I am bashing Harris. To call out an issue she promotes is bashing? I guess Republican politicians can't be analyzed, just blindly pull the lever for an (R), eh.

Also answer the question. What is Harris's alternative, continue to prop up tyrants? Some "pet issue".
