The most heated public moment occurred during McClellan's off-camera "gaggle" with White House reporters yesterday morning. It featured NBC's David Gregory, one of McClellan's most persistent inquisitors over the last year, who raised his voice while asking a question about the incident.
"Hold on," McClellan interrupted, pointing out that "the cameras aren't on right now. You can do this later."
"Don't accuse me of trying to pose to the cameras," Gregory replied. "Don't be a jerk to me personally when I'm asking you a serious question."
"You don't have to yell," McClellan said.
"I will yell," said Gregory, jabbing his finger in McClellan's direction. "If you want to use that podium to try to take shots at me personally, which I don't appreciate, then I will raise my voice, because that's wrong."
"Calm down, Dave. Calm down," said McClellan evenly.
The two men spoke privately after the gaggle, Gregory said later. No apologies were exchanged.

I think it's funny that the press corps is already in the worst room in the building. There is still a metal ladder coming out of the concrete floor where they filled in the pool.
Memo to Scott: Use their NAMES and affiliations when they ask these stupid questions, or else the public have no idea who these people are.
Let the Lamestream Media overdo their reaction. It's good for us, actually. GWB and Big Dick Cheney come across as Real Men, unlike the girly men and manly women who infest the ranks of the 'Rats.
The more these media hacks make a big deal about this hunting accident, the more it becomes obvious what the media's agendum is: Attack the Bush White House on any issue, no matter how trivial.
Exactly what I was thinking.. now he can go back to his MSM pals and glory in his go-around with McClellan.
"Junk Journalists seem completely incabable of grasping the reality that THEY need access to YOU, NOT vice versa."
AND they don't seem to understand that the one group the public hates more than lawyers and politicians is "journalists". The American people see no downside to the WH press corps being "inconvenienced".
The person who asked Schwartzkopf if he knew WHO was in that truck on the bridge they blew up would have been FIRED for asking such a STUPID question!!
I wouldn't even bother with that. Let 'em get all their material off the DNC fax wire; 90 percent of the garbage they copy comes from there as it is anyway. The other ten percent they steal from each other. The only reason they bother with the WH press briefings is so they can vent their rage at the President.
Pretty Boy?? Ick...I think he looks like a blonde monkey.
I busted out laughing at this cartoon. TY
The mediots are a gaggle of attention freaks.
The MSM is only interested in posing for the cameras. The are as valid and intelligent as the illiterates of the arab street who are jumping up and down for the cameras.
I think if NBC, CBS, and NBC went 100% off the air, democrats would be devastated with the sudden increase in inteligence of the population.
WHO would WANT that job of dealing with these jackals??? Scott is inept but NO ONE would want that job!!!

It rings true!
Gregory is a rude hothead
Here is an excerpt of David Gregory's comment to one of his guests in 1999, when the guest mentions Juanita Broaddrick's rape charges against our former President, Bill Clinton:
"Now hold on. ...Gregory is the jerk.
Im not going to let you go there.
We are not talking about this today.
Were not going to turn that into this....
Cliff, Im going to stop you.
Im hosting the program.
It is not a double standard.
We have a clear focus today.
Im asking the questions."
That's right - the podium is only for receiving personal shots. Who does this Scott McClellan think he is defending himself like that. /sarc
David Gregory is the rude jerk in the front row.
Actually that is from a Cheech and Chong routine.
bump
For the life of me I can't understand where the administration got McClellan. I don't know what his background is but he sucks at putting the administration in a favorable light.
He appears to be a fill-in or an understudy while the pro is on leave. He doesn't have a commanding presence. He doesn't seem able to speak off script, something akin to Sean Hanni.
I wander if he's one of Poppy's adopted something or other ;-)
