Ann Coulter...was definitely Fridays biggest draw at CPAC 2006.
From the get-go the conservative columnist had the crowd cheering and was frequently interrupted by applause.
Many of Coulters talking points came from recent news events -- such as the great Danish cartoon caper and President Bushs Supreme Court nominees.
Muslims are the only group who kill because people call them violent, she said of Islams rage over the printing of Muhammad cartoons.
Speaking about the nation's highest court, Coulter not only expressed elation at Justice Samuel Alitos confirmation, she also shared her feelings on Chief Justice John Roberts ...
She had fun impersonating Sen. Hillary Clinton, mocking Clintons MLK Day remarks on the slave plantation in the House of Representatives, adding: And you know what Im talkin about, girlfriend.
I can say that by the way, Coulter said. My party freed the slaves.
Democrats have three major planks, she explained: Abortion on demand, gay marriage and banning the Boy Scouts.
Someday theyll find a way to combine them all and figure out how to abort all future Boy Scouts.

I didn't 'brand you a liar'......this statement is not true.
Mary knows as well as anyone else that all of us who support President Bush disagree with him. We just don't bash him incessantly and routinely insult others who defend his character.
(Just for the record, I was accused the other day by one who said I would defend President Bush if he committed violence himself. A despicable lie. They get tiring, guy. Really tiring).
Then you apparently didn't read the threads on Harriet MIERS, nor did you read Ann Coulter's elitist and downright nasty attacks on her.
When people on this forum attacked her sexuality, her character, and people like Ann called her a 'cleaning lady' it was disgusting.
I, for one, was happy that she stepped down, and thrilled that the President chose Alito to replace her, but the treatment this fine woman got on this forum was despicable.
Ann Coulter is no longer a voice I choose to listen to because of her arrogant attacks on Miers. And up until that point in time, I had a lot of respect for Ann. No more. She could have made her points without the ugly vitriol.
And on top of that, she looks anorexic (and my husband agrees), so I have no idea what all you guys find attractive in her. She's a stick. Who likes sticks?
Ann's not bad looking, but way too skinny. I am usually more attracted to a woman with some meat and some curves, but that's just me.
The problem with ann isn't just that she's skinny, it's that she's WAY too skinny. Who likes to hug bones anyway? She looks BAD, IMO.
It wouldn't hurt AC to put on a few lbs. and she'll still be a hottie!!!
Now may I also chime in to say that I'm not afraid to disagree with some of what W has or hasn't accomplished in the last 5+ years.
Militarily and security wise I haven't had problem 1 with what he has done. Even had 9/11 NOT occurred, it is still a top priority to him. Don't EVER forget the irreputable harm Bubba laid onto the armed forces during his time.
Where I see a point of contention is in the fact that he hasn't followed up his promise to "spend my political capital". He has an agenda(SS reform, tax cuts, less spending, etc)yet he doesn't stand by it!!! Reagan was great at this. He wouldn't take the crap he would just say "this is going to happen and this is how we get it done". Please W show me the backbone that I know you have and get the agenda done.
While you're at it, please attack the 2 main things you haven't yet: Immigration and welfare(some people think that the only problem I have with this country is the welfare thing). It's obvious these go hand-in-hand with one another. You would think that after Reagan put a substantial dent into welfare spending that Clinton would continue it. Actually all he did was redistibute welfare funds from inner-cities to outer areas closer, and into suburbia( this is partially caused by illegal immigrants). I own a service-type business just inside the Cleveland border and trust me, every day I hear the bragging from people about all the handouts they are getting. And newsflash: They're white, Asian, Latino, and other natives, but not African-Americans(again thanks to what RWR did in the '80's) They practically laugh at me BECAUSE I work!!!!!
Before I go too far off course here, my point is that there is still much to be done and W needs to play the part. And people like Ann Coulter needs to keep the Dems. on their toes.
A great title for Ann's next bestseller: WELFARE: HOW TO STOP PAYING PEOPLE NOT TO WORK---BECAUSE WE MUST
Women are supposed to look like women, not 12 year old boys. That's JMHO though.
Oh now that is just BAD!
Well said!
THANKS!!!!!
BTW that photo mahes my tummy squirm , LOL!!!
too conservative? Not for me she isn't!
Scary, even......
Exactly right. Or as some Brits say: Spot on.
Why not just listen to George Will or Tucker Carlson? Or maybe David Gergen is more your style.
I guess she'll have to get by with being a best selling author, highly paid lecturer, TV commentator and millionaire. And being a babe:
There is already capitalism at work. You can buy a Prophet T-shirt with the turbomb pic on it. I can't remember the site, but it was on Drudge a coupleof days ago. Said it's been their fastest selling item in years.
Well said. What really bugged me is Dubya has always told the American people where he stands and has followed through on his convictions. There are lots of reasons to criticize Dubya for what he promised to get elected, but once he was elected he did a great job of fulfilling those promises. One of his promises was to nominate conservative judges and he has nominated some excellent people. I trusted Dubya when he said he had worked with Miers for many years and she is a good woman.
When one knows the American history of cronyism in regard to SCOTUS nominations, and has looked at the qualification of other SCOTUS, one is left asking why the right felt Miers was impalpable. But they did so it just shows what a thankless job Dubya endures. I wouldn't want the job. I'd just become bitter with my party.
The question I would be asking myself if I was Dubya is "Do Coulter, Limbaugh, and Levin really think I want to screw up America by putting a wolf in sheep's cloths on the SCOTUS?" Do they think Dubya is stupid or evil?
I wonder how many acceptable conservative SCOTUS candidates we have left to offer and who are willing to undergo the immense "bring your family to tears" scrutiny.
It's bad enough when the evil rats sabotage us but when my party called Miers unqualified and a crony I felt shame. When Miers was withdrawn Dubya bounced right back with Alito.
I think it is hard to gage a person by their resume alone. I have watched Dubya closely because I voted for him twice. I have seen who he picks as advisers and spokesmen. He is better informed than I am, and I trust his judgment even though I disagree with his policy at times.

You are exactly right. Ann was way off base about Miers, and so were her 'cronies' and worshippers here on FR, but that's because they must believe at their core that President Bush lacks character and judgement. I don't think there's one bit of evidence to back that feeling up.
When Miers was nominated, I wondered, because so little was known of her (and like Rush I 'wanted the fight'), but at the same time I knew cognitively the history of the President in the judiciary, and I knew from reading and from gut instinct that he was going to do what he promised to do because changing the judiciary was and is a solid conservative core value of his.
Miers withdrew because she wasn't doing well with the Senators, and Alito was always on the short list of nominees, so was picked insantly to replace her. (One of the funniest, airheaded things I read on this forum is that Bush DIDN'T pick Alito, that the talk show hosts and screaming freepers DID......LOL! I'm pretty sure that it was President Bush I saw in those pictures with Alito, and not Sean Hannity or some Ann groupie from FR! :)
But Ann Coulter was elitist and ugly about Miers. On this forum, Miers was attacked personally and in ways that were beneath the dignity of any self-respecting conservative.
I will never regain my respect for Ann because she showed that her vitriol comes from an arrogance and elitism toward good, solid fellow conservatives, and not just empty headed, amoral liberals.
But at the same time, when Alito was sitting in the White House with the President waiting for the vote, HARRIET MIERS was right there with him, smiling and in support.
SHE is a fine woman. SHE is a woman of character and distinction. ANN is an attention grabbing, mouthy elitist, and the Miers incident made me lose all respect for her.
I'm not a Libertarian anymore, but I agree with everything you said and I'm on your side.
:-)
It's not that we think Ann is 'too conservative.' It's just that we have our own minds, and don't agree with the woman on everything.
Is that a hard thing for you guys to grasp? Independent thinking, I mean......
