NARAL Pro-Choice New York immediately criticized the program because some of the grants went to anti-abortion groups that promote abstinence-only sex education. This is a lie. There are no groups that promote abstinence only sex education in NY. What there are are groups that propose including teaching about abstinence in the curriculum, and NARL opposes this. NARL is quite open about their mission to increase the frequency of abortion.
