NARAL Pro-Choice New York immediately criticized the program because some of the grants went to anti-abortion groups that promote abstinence-only sex education.

This is a lie. There are no groups that promote abstinence only sex education in NY. What there are are groups that propose including teaching about abstinence in the curriculum, and NARL opposes this. NARL is quite open about their mission to increase the frequency of abortion.

I am intrigued that with all the important issues facing New York that this man(?) finds the elimination of pre-born life the most important and pressing.

"There are people of good will with deep moral and religious beliefs who oppose abortion," Spitzer said in a speech at New York Law School. "They are honorable and thoughtful, and their position in the national debate should be respected."

Patronizing _________. (insert the expletive of your choice).

This guy is a disaster for NY. This is thanks to the likes of D'Amato & Pataki and the sell out NY conservative party. The liberal voters in NY will get what they ask for and they'll rue the day.

Notice it's called "abortion rights" and not "anti life rights". The "rights" in the statement makes it sound like you're trying to deny something (dare I say) god given?

I thought that New York had long ago voted to retain abortion rights if Roe-v-Wade were overturned. I guess he just wants to push the abortion thing to stir up the libs and fems in NY.

"There are people of good will with deep moral and religious beliefs who oppose abortion," Spitzer said in a speech at New York Law School. "They are honorable and thoughtful, and their position in the national debate should be respected." The fool doesn't get it at all ... it is the HUMANITY OF THE ALIVE UNBORN which is at stake, but a politician --especially a democrat politician, as we too often see-- doesn't care a whit about whether the alive unborn are human beings so long as their slaughter gets democrat votes.
