A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

ood morning, FRiends.   I have often wished I had a *generic* table to post on days when I'm short of time,   or low on creativity, and can't think of a theme or can't find the right graphics when I *have* a theme.   So, here it is - I made one - and you will probably see it again 'cause it just says WELCOME!

I'm calling it my "Ain't Got No Theme" (sorta)  or  "Ain't Got No Graphics" (sorta) table.  When you see it, you will know it's one or the other - or BOTH!   Do hope you'll stop in, have a cup of coffee, share your thoughts, pick a theme, post a picture, offer a suggestion for a future theme, offer to WRITE a future thread, or just wave as you drive by. :)

I think I will change my mind about visiting my Uncle in Amarillo. :)

That thing would feed an army.

Beautiful poppies. Thank you.

They should be blooming very soon. I'll try to get a picture.

Good morning, Jack.

Aren't they precious. No poem to go with the picture?

If you don't bother the snakes, they won't bother you..My mother stirred up a nest of Copperheads once at our lake house..and Meg "the snake killer" was called on to destroy them. Mom had decided to move a pile of old lumber where the mother and young ones were housed.

I used a concrete mixing looong handled hoe to rid us of the snakes and instructed Mom and all the children not to move old piles of wood!

A Basket Of Mischief

Someone said you guys were bored
With nothing to do today
So, we decided to drop on by
To look around and play

Leaping from our basket
It's much to early to nap
We'll poke around and tumble
While looking for an inviting lap

So many things to climb up on
And ankles to rub slow and silkily
Too cute for words and smarter than you think
All we have to do is look up. We'll catch you with a wink

Just remember it is we who choose
The Human that we seek
And if we like how you play with us
We'll have you trained within a week!

kill the snake before you try to do anything else to it! It's the safest way for you and the snake doesn't care anymore.

Then you list a recipe for rattlesnake! LOL!

Thank you, dutchess, MEG and Amy:

Great, hoto, dutchess.

I always get a kick out of the "Herding Cats" advertsement.

I'm also printing and saving my poems, Amy. Always the distinct possibility of publishing them a few years from now.

Jack.
