It is in Gaithersburg, Md. Officials have found a suspicious package in a park area near a school and some houses. They have a remote control robot thing checking it out. Someone, somewhere thinks it could be an IED. It is not known what is in the package, yet, as of last report. Kids are moved from one school to another.
No such story on the Fox News page. Musta been a heckuva thing, eh?
These stories always end that way.
It'sn FOX TV and they just show it occasionally. It really isn't that exciting, yet.
I heard it on the radio at the top of the hour, Fox News, but when I went to their website couldn't find anything.
I grew up in Gaithersburg just a block from City park, and am curious if that's where the alleged bomb was. The elementary school is just two blocks from there.

Now we're going to start misusing the term, IED. Every cherry bomb and M80 is going to be an "IED" and there will be a Breaking News Alert on Fox News. That should just about fill in the gaps between the car chases.

School Evacuated After Suspicious Package Found in Md.
GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- Montgomery County police and school officials have evacuated an elementary school, day care center and church in Gaithersburg while a bomb squad investigates a suspicious device across the street from the school.
Students from Rachel Carson Elementary School have been taken to the nearby Quince Orchard High School, Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Nancy Nickerson says. She says students were evacuated as a precaution and are all okay.
School officials have not determined whether school will be dismissed early.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer says they believe the package is an improvised explosive device.
The suspicious package was found in a park in the middle of Kent Island Circle and the bomb squad was called to the scene around 12:30 p.m., Piringer says. Technicians are using a robot to investigate the device.
Piringer says there have been no related threats reported to investigators.

I figured that. Those clymers wouldn't know an IED from an IUD.
