Another firecracker or dry ice noisemaker to justify HS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Probably one of those deadly toilet cleaner/tin-foil plastic bottle bombs.
Didn't see it on the Foxnews page
IED or a bag of flour.
Ok, I give. Where's the headline on Fox?
It is in Gaithersburg, Md. Officials have found a suspicious package in a park area near a school and some houses. They have a remote control robot thing checking it out. Someone, somewhere thinks it could be an IED. It is not known what is in the package, yet, as of last report. Kids are moved from one school to another.
No such story on the Fox News page. Musta been a heckuva thing, eh?
Md. Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package
GAITHERSBURG, Md. Montgomery County police and school officials have evacuated an elementary school, day care center and church in Gaithersburg while a bomb squad investigates a suspicious device across the street from the school.
Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Nancy Nickerson says students from Rachel Carson Elementary School have been taken to the nearby Quince Orchard High School. She says students were evacuated as a precaution and are all O.K.
From there, school officials will determine whether school will be dismissed early.
County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer says the bomb squad is using a robot to investigate the suspicious device. He says they believe it's an improvised explosive devise. It was found around 12:30 in a park in the middle of Kent Island Circle in the Kentlands section of Gaithersburg.
But Piringer says there have been no related threats reported to investigators.
FNC - robot trying to get to it under a bench.
Probably a dirty diaper or a baggie of poo.
We stopped at an historical marker the other day and some creatin left a baggie of what looked like dog poo (didn't investigate that closely) right on the marker. People are so disgusting now days.
It's probably a peanut butter sandwich and a banana in a Spongebob Squarepants lunch box.
IED? Sounds like the reporters are crossing over from their vast knowledge of firearms.
School IED? Perhaps a of baked beans?
One Halloween, I saw the police confiscate a guy's chain saw. This was in downtown Austin on 6th Street. Every Halloween, adults in costume have a Mardi Gras style party in the streets. He had taken the chain off, but every time he cranked it up, he darned near started a riot. People would panic and run away. After one guy ran into the street and almost got hit by a car, the cops took the chain saw and told him he could pick it up at police HQ the next morning.
Bottom line. Harmless things can look very scary.
Doug Duncan?
