Muslims urge new cartoon protests
BBC ^ | 02/03/2006

Posted on 02/02/2006 10:51:28 PM PST by Panerai

Fresh protests are expected on Friday by Muslims angered by the publication of newspaper cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

Iraqi, Egyptian and Palestinian Islamic groups have called for demonstrations as Muslims attend prayers on Friday.

The cartoons - first seen in Denmark and then reprinted in European papers - have provoked protests and a debate over the limits of freedom of speech.

Denmark's prime minister has appeared on Arabic TV to appeal for calm.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen told the Dubai-based al-Arabiya channel he was sorry for any offence caused but insisted his government was not responsible for newspaper articles.

Sackings

One of the cartoons shows the Prophet wearing a headdress shaped like a bomb, while another shows him saying that paradise is running short of virgins for suicide bombers.

Islamic tradition bans depictions of the Prophet or Allah.

Editors of Jordanian and French newspapers who chose to republish the cartoons have been dismissed.

The Palestinian militant group, Hamas, has called for mass demonstrations over the cartoons in Gaza.

Gunmen surrounded the office of the European Union in Gaza on Thursday, demanding an apology.

Norway closed its mission to the public in the West Bank after two militant groups threatened Norwegians, Danes and French people.

Journalists and aid workers from western countries have reportedly been leaving the Palestinian territories, fearing attack.

Hundreds of students earlier demonstrated in the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Multan, burning flags and effigies of the Danish prime minister.

Islamic Society of Denmark Used Fake Cartoons to Create Story!

THIS WHOLE DANISH CARTOON CONTROVERSY WAS MADE UP BY THE "ISLAMIC SOCIETY OF DENMARK" WHO SPREAD THE FAKE CARTOONS ON THEIR TRIP TO THE MIDDLE EAST!

The leader of the group is a radical Islamist known for supporting the Anti-Western Islamist struggle!

The organisation Islamic Society in Denmark toured the Middle-East to create awareness about the cartoons, bringing 3 additional images, which HAD NEVER been published in any media source. Evidently, the originals were not offensive enough for the trip so they had to add these three:

The first of the three additional pictures, which are of poor quality, shows Muhammad as a pedophile demon.*

The second shows Muhammed with a pig snout.*

The third depicts a praying Muslim being raped by a dog*.

BBC World also aired a story showing one of the three non-published images, on 2006-01-30, and wrongly claimed it had been published in Jyllands-Posten.

On the tour, the group claimed to represent 21 different Muslim organisations in Denmark, although many of these groups have disclaimed any connection.

Akhmad Akkari, spokesman of the Danish Muslim organisations which organised the tour, explained that the three drawings had been added to "give an insight in how hateful the atmosphere in Denmark is towards Muslims."

Akkari claimed he does not know the origin of the three pictures. He said they had been sent anonymously to Danish Muslims. However, when Ekstra Bladet asked if it could talk to these Muslims, Akkari refused to reveal their identity. These images had however never been published in Jyllands-Posten.

The society also allegedly exaggerated its membership, claiming to represent all of Denmark's 200,000 Muslims, when the actual number of adherents is believed to be fewer than 15,000. [30]. 500-1000 people attend their Friday prayer gathering each week[31].

Imam Ahmad Abu Ladan is involved in an international group of Muslims who are known for supporting the anti-Western Islamist struggle of the school of global Jihad.

Imam Ahmad Abu Ladan also tried to block the re-election of the right-wing government in Denmark in the previous election.

Imam Ahmad Abu Laban, the leader of the organisation stated in Al Jazeera that Muslims should boycott Denmark, despite giving contradictory assurances to Western media. Ahmad Abu Laban, previously declared unwelcome in several Arab states, was one of the front figures on the tour [citation needed].

Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen said of Muslims criticising the country in the Arab territories: "I am speechless that those people, whom we have given the right to live in Denmark and where they freely have chosen to stay, are now touring Arab countries and inciting antipathy towards Denmark and the Danish people"[33].

Further misinformation spread among Arab Muslims include claims that Jyllands-Posten is a government-owned newspaper (it is privately owned) - spokesman for the Danish delegation Muhammed al Samha, and delegation member Ahmed al-Harbi said in the Egyptian newspaper al-Ahram: "Jyllands-Posten, a newspaper belonging to the ruling Danish party - an extreme right-wing party - [was] publishing drawings and sketches of the prophet Muhammad."

* I shrank up the outrageous and fake cartoons from original size. I do not intend to offend.

The Brussels Journal has been following the story closely from Europe.
Shawn Wasson notices the selective outrage.
The Astute Blogger has more on Abu Ladan lying to the media!
Counterterrorism Blog has more on Abu Laden's mideast stunts, today.
Zombietime has the largest collection of Muhammad pictures on the net.
And, Pajamas Media is carrying the story from a variety of blog perspectives.
Michelle Malkin has a huge roundup on the two-faced American media.

The mainstream news is so out of touch with this story.

We must be doing something right. Any thing that enrages the followers of the Prophet (PORK be upon him!) is a good thing.

Are these the so called moderate muslims? It's so hard to tell these days.

Muslims don't seem to have any trouble publishing derogatory cartoons in Islamic papers about other religions, Jews, etc.

I say all those Norwiegians get their gov. issue military rifle and clean up the place.

["More cartoon protests..."]

See the difference.

That is, how many protests have you seen over the Washington Post's depiction (cartoon) of a US soldier with his arms and legs cut off and making a joke out of what Rumsfeld was saying. The only "protest" I've seen or heard of, was statement issued by the US (Military) Joint Chiefs.

Every paper in Dubai has big bold headlines on THE FIRESTORM; it will be interesting how it all plays out over the next couple of days. For me, I'm going to bunker down and wait for the fury to pass.

This story was just on CNN and they "showed" one of the cartoons but blurred out most of it. Is CNN running scared of the islamofacists? I think so.

The god of Islam is Satan, which is why they pray downwards.

For a joke, someone should set up a free halal baked bean (super hot spiced) pot outside of the mosk BEFORE prayer time.

Then remind them of the hadith:

Bukhari:V1B4N139 “I asked Allah’s Apostle about a person who imagined they passed wind during prayer. He replied: ‘He should not leave his prayer unless he hears sound or smells something.’”

Fake Cartoons Spread by a MUSLIM to Inflame

Here is an LGF slideshow of the Mohammed cartoons originally published by Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten: Jyllands-Posten slideshow.   What's so revolting about all of this is how the American MSM has self-censored regarding this "blasphemy".  Per my own accounting, at least 14 countries have published some or all of these cartoons, including Mexico and...JORDAN. A Peaceful, Tolerant Day of Anger

Sheikh Yussef al-Qaradawi, best pal of London mayor Ken Livingstone and leading frontman for the global jihad, is calling for a “day of anger:” Day of anger threatened over cartoons of Prophet.  "Day of tantrum" is more to the point.

You know, a peaceful, tolerant day of anger. link: 89 comments   Time for a Hanson archive piece  "After 30 years of listening to nauseating chanting from Teheran to Islamabad to Nablus, hearing the childish rants about "The Mother of All Battles" and "The Great Satan," and witnessing presidents from Carter to Bush burned in effigy, the ritual torching of the American flag, the misspelled banners of hatred, the thousands of paint-by-the-numbers posters of psychopaths from Khomeini to bin Laden...The problem is you, not us — you, you, you…

We Got Mail!

Today a gentleman from Morocco searched Google in French for “Jyllands-Posten carton of mohamed,” discovered LGF, and used our contact form to fire off a fan letter with the subject line “mohamed:”

f*ck you!!!!! and f*ck to everybody wanna touch our mohamed... I think LGF is about to coin yet another great term: mohamed. I, too, wash my hands after I touch my mohamed :-) You know, this could become the Web's next "all your base" if we play it right.

Thanks for the fascinating post. I noticed that in these painting the face of Muhammad, and often one or two other chief persons, is "veiled" (for want of a better word) in such a way as to suggest it was added at a later time. Could this be the case?

These muslims a-holes need to learn to laugh and get a life.
Until then I'll make fun of them all. Any camel jokes or pedophile jokes regarding old Joe Allah or jokes that disparage islam is a good start.
