Sheehan: I Felt 'Humiliated'

Capitol Police may have dropped charges against antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan and apologized, but that apparently hasn't made her any less angry over her arrest, or how she was treated as it happened.
Sheehan was one of two people kicked out of the audience of President Bush's State of the Union address in t-shirt-related incidents Tuesday night, but she was the only one arrested, on unlawful conduct counts.
She was wearing a t-shirt that alluded to the number of soldiers killed in Iraq: "2245 Dead. How many more?"
Also removed was Beverly Young, wife of Rep. C.W. "Bill" Young, R-Fla., whose t-shirt had the opposite message: "Support the Troops Defending Our Freedom."
Sheehan was taken away in handcuffs before Mr. Bush's arrival at the Capitol and charged with a misdemeanor, while Young left the gallery and therefore was not arrested, said Capitol Police Chief Terrance Gainer in a statement.
Gainer apologized, saying, "The officers made a good faith, but mistaken effort to enforce an old unwritten interpretation of the prohibitions about demonstrating in the Capitol.
"The policy and procedures were too vague," he added. "The failure to adequately prepare the officers is mine."
But, back home in Los Angeles Wednesday, Sheehan told Linda Alvarez of CBS station KCBS-TV, "They violated my civil rights they humiliated me. They treated me like, instead of having just a t-shirt on, I had a weapon."
Sheehan was a guest of California Democratic Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey.

And who sent her to Venezuela? Mr. Moore? Mr. Soros? Pelosi? Boxer? Kennedy? We all know if she spent her own money then it was blood money she gained from exploiting her son. The hag should be sent to the same place Andrea Yates is going. They could be cellmates. They deserve each other.

The one here who should be humiliated is Representative Woolsey who gave this scumbag a ticket and had it shoved in her face. But I am sure the Representative isnt humiliated she is more than likely almost as big a POS as Cindy. Tough call there. I saw on BOR last night that Lynn Woolsey and Barbara Lee were behind this in an attempt to embarrass the President. They knew the loonie is unbalanced and they were hoping for a confrontation. I wouldn't be surprised if Miss America (Pelosi)didn't know something about it too. Time for an investigation and for these nasty bi***es to be publicly rebuked.

Amen, brother SMM48! Bring them forth for judgment by a jury of their peers! Feed them to the conservative lions. I'm afraid, however, the spineless warthogs would leave a very bad taste in our mouths.

In order to be humiliated, one must have a sense of shame. Not possible in Cindy's case. She was wearing a t-shirt that alluded to the number of soldiers killed in Iraq: "2245 Dead. How many more?" I'll bet she had several more shirts printed up with "2246" "2250", etc., and was hoping that more soldiers would be reported dead before the SOTU so she could up the ante. ------------------------------------------------------------- The pictures I saw were not even that classy--her shirt was black, and the only screen printed number you could see was "2"--the "246" was written on a piece of white tape and stuck to the shirt. The edges of the tape were peeling up. CafePress is already all over this: http://www.cafepress.com/babymagik/1173492

You may now roll your eyeballs back to the front of your face.

You got it! Woolsey's response came straight out of the Liberal's Anti-American, Bush-bashing handbook: ------------------------------ WOOLSEY ON SHEEHAN ARREST Friday, February 03, 2006 - FreeMarketNews.com The arrest of Cindy Sheehan during Bush's State of the Union address Tuesday as well as her subsequent release has been all over the news this week. And now, the Congresswoman who gave her the ticket to attend the President's speech is speaking out on the subject, as Representative Lynn Woolsey [D-CA] issued a formal statement about her guest's mistreatment and arrest at the event: "Since when is free speech conditional on whether you agree with the President? Cindy Sheehan, who gave her own flesh and blood for this disastrous war, did not violate any rules of the House of Representatives. She merely wore a shirt that highlighted the human cost of the Iraq war and expressed a view different than that of the President. Free speech and the First Amendment exist to protect dissenting statements like Ms. Sheehan's last night. "Stifling the truth will not blind Americans to the immorality of sending young Americans to die in an unnecessary war, against a nation that posed no threat to our security. The President's speech last night was yet another attempt to distort history, as he suggested - once again - that the 9/11 terrorists came from Iraq. Everyone knows this is not true. We must not be afraid to say that the emperor has no clothes. It's time to bring our troops home."

Boo freakin' hoo, Cindy
You've humiliated me by simply having the same name!

"The policy and procedures were too vague," he added. "The failure to adequately prepare the officers is mine." I don't know anything about Chief Gainer and I feel he doesn't need to apologize, but his statement is an example of real leadership. I hope its characteristic of the man and not a facade one time occurance.
