America to Merchants of Hate and Intolerance: No Sale
MND ^ | Tuesday, January 31, 2006 | By Bob Newman

America’s radical left wing is learning many lessons of late. Remarkably, however, they couldn’t care less about the grades they are being handed by their teachers, namely the American people.

Lesson 1: Screaming before live TV cameras on the Senate floor like a maniac with a 40-pound overripe tomato perched atop one’s neck, rolls of blubber quaking beneath several chins, spittle flying and appearing to be just about to blow a heart valve, is not conduct that impresses Americans. This is how girl killer Ted Kennedy behaved during debate over Samuel Alito the day before Alito’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Obviously, bearing, dignity, maturity and discipline are not assets this drunken bigot considers important, and the following day, Alito was easily confirmed, as most Americans had hoped.

Lesson 2: If you sew hate, you will reap nothing of value and be shunned by the vast majority of American adults. As Clear Channel and shows like the "Gunny Bob Show" make huge ratings gains, hate radio scams such as Air America see their ratings plummet. This is because most rational Americans do not appreciate the kind of ugly intolerance and puerile programming found on Air America. Al Franken has been exposed in a book that excruciatingly details the never-ending stream of lies this has-been comedy writer spews, and I receive unsolicited hate email from Randi Rhodes, with the latter, of course, meaning I am doing my job and she is desperate.

Is that a death knell I hear in the now-not-so-far distance?

Lesson 3: Speaking of desperate, when your ratings suck because America ignores you, never attack those who are beating you senseless in the ratings, as most Americans accurately see this as an unprofessional indicator of said desperation.

Such is the case with one Keith Olberman and his failing "Countdown" on MSNBC, the network that briefly placed Michael Savage on its airwaves. A serious news analysis and commentary show this is not. With a format and host antics ("infantile" would be giving the pedantic Olberman credit) that appear to be based on "Peewee’s Playhouse," this show with barely discernable ratings (according to Nielsen) is an embarrassment to the network that was once home to John Chancellor.

Lesson 4: Madmen generally fail. Such is the case with Howard Dean, head hate monger and screamer-in-chief of the adrift Democratic Party. The rank and file are furious that the nut job the party’s extremists placed in charge has engineered the loss of nearly all of the party’s funds. Dr. Demento was known to be a loose cannon when he was placed on the deck of the once good ship Democrat, and now the vessel is listing badly to port, the bilges are overthrowing and the pumps are failing. Man the lifeboats!

Lesson 5: Never tell a Marine, especially one under enemy fire, that his best option is to retreat and surrender.

Retired Marine Reserve Colonel and Congressman John Murtha, darling of the anti-freedom far left and poster boy for defeatism, did precisely that and followed up his stunt by saying the U.S. armed forces are so inept and cowardly that he would not join the military today. Some Marines are now being briefed by their leaders that they are not to hunt down this disgrace to the Corps in order to personally express their disgust and displeasure. Other Marines want his name stricken from the rolls of the Corps, comparing him to Marine traitor Clayton Lonetree.

Time to dodder off to the home for disgraced Marines, Murtha, where fortunately there is plenty of room.

Lesson 6: A liberal Democrat and career politician who swears up and down that, if you vote him in as a senator, will never do anything to humiliate his constituents, is surely lying.

Introducing Sen. Ken Salazar of Colorado, who again has flown his true colors and propensity for being extremely economical with the truth. Salazar, who guaranteed the people of Colorado he would never toe the party line and do something unethical because his party demanded he do so, did exactly that Tuesday when he voted against the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the high court, who had the highest possible ratings from the bi-partisan American Bar Association. Salazar did so the moment he felt pressure from his handlers, Kennedy, Kerry, Schumer, Boxer, Reid and Dean.

How can you tell when Salazar is lying? His lips are moving.

As the Democratic Party crumbles under the onerous weight of its own morale bankruptcy, the ghosts of JFK, Truman and Roosevelt moan in the dirt.

Obviously, Dems are behaving as tho holding their breaths until they turn blue is effective. It's a sure prescription for being put out of their misery. They don't get it.

My folks know the dem party is in free fall but they hold on to the belief that a truman or humphrey will arise from the ashes. I point out Leiberman and say look what the party is doing to him

The party of FDR, JFK and Hubert Humphrey started its death spiral in 1972 with the takeover by the McGovern Demorats. Its deterioration into a party driven only by seething hatred of George Bush is the final phase. I can't imagine why anyone other than those caught up in the Bush hate rhetoric would ever vote for these people.

Sucks to be Murtha! Gotta hate it when Marines are hunting you down to 'express their displeasure'.

Personally, I hope they find him.

When Teddy Kennedy's head explodes, will a video of it be posted on the internet?

I want to save a copy, along with my Howard Dean "I Have a Scream!" speech!

"The party of FDR, JFK and Hubert Humphrey started its death spiral in 1972..."

Started earlier than that: remember the Chicago Convention in '68?
That was the beginning, when they discovered that screaming and shouting could be substituted for ideas, and that (some) good men could be intimidated by bad.

Those that resisted joined the GOP.

Guess Murtha now knows what it's like to be a rag-head in Fallujah!
LOL!

(After Murtha, maybe they could hunt down and express their displeasure with the little fat fvckwad, Muckie al Sadr!)

Personally, I would like to see a reconstituted Democrat Party with a new set of leadership with good ideas and that comes to the table with mature discourse.
I have to believe there are a number of Dems in the ranks in both the House and Senate that are ashamed of their leadership and planning a palace coup. The entire party is about to collapse if nothing changes. Prediction: Coup occurs before the 4th of July.

I used to think over-the-top screeds like this were fun. Now I think that they're part of the loud, personal saliva-spraying from both sides of the political divide that ultimately harms us all.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. The Klintonites are too deeply entrenched in that party in key positions. There's not going to be a coup; the ship is going to sink and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

I don't feel sorry for them. The country can ill-afford a party that thinks it's a good idea to leave 250,000 Americans to die in Lousiana in order to make a political point. Remember - the Democrats have *proven* that they don't care how many Americans have to die to forward their agenda (and I'm not even talking about abortion). Never before have we had a party that was willing to go to that extreme.

We simply cannot afford it. Even the little third parties, for the most part (Libertarians, Constitutionalists) are rational people who could be dealt with - but the Democrats are something else entirely.

Do you remember the last major political party in world affairs that thought that sacrificing citizens to further their agenda was a good idea? I do.

Amen to this article and the means of making it public. Thank goodness for the Internet and the new media. The old once can't hide from us any more.

Considering how Marines are trained, "expressing their displeasure", could, were one of those worthies to have a momentary lapse in their justly famous discipline, be quite painful, to say the least. Extreme doubt obtains, in my mind, that he is anything less than abjectly terrifed at *that* prospect...
