Good morning from chilly southeastern Mi.
My favorite engine is a Boss 351 Cleveland, with a Holly quad Carb! Put that into a '72 Ford Gran Torino and then you have quite a ride!
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
My family and I thank you for all you do. We think you are truly amazing. My heart swells with pride everytime I think about what you do.
Thank you, Shorty, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities. I like trains.
Howdy.... Oops! Bye.........I'm just passing through this morning just to say HOWDY to all. I have lots of work to get through today. It's time card week. If I get it done this morning, I will have time to visit during lunch time.
But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is OPEN
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

Morning, Star, cute thread!! We have an obscene amount of Thomas wooden trains, tracks etc. Last night, my boys had their very first swim lesson and Max (2 1/2), I found out after the lesson, had packed Diesel, so he could take a friend with him. Evan likes Edward and Henry.
How have you been? I have a question if anyone with kids reads this. My daughter will only drink milk out of a bottle. I buy the vitamin fortified juice which she drinks with no problem from sippy cups. I don't want to be giving her bottles much longer and am trying to give them for breakfast and before bed only, but obviously, I want to make sure she is getting enough of the "good stuff". Any suggestions as to how to get her to drink milk from the sippy cup without witholding fluids from her until she is so thirsty, she drinks? Or is that pretty much my only option? BTW, she doesn't like chocoalte milk, should I try flavored pediasure or things like that?
Go Steelers!!

How about the one in Trajan88's buggy...
The Difference Engine.
Charles Babbage, postulated the very first card reader or computer. It was called the difference engine, and it is considered by some to be the prototype of the very first computer.
As I recall, he never actually built the thing, but he did design it. There are plenty of links on the Internet concerning the "Difference Engine" or "Charles Babbage" for some enterprising young student to explore.
