WELCOME
to the first, RNC officially sanctioned, CYBER GOP House Party for the President's STATE of the UNION speech!

There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.

Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)

President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.

The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!

Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!

Here are your party favors! Please share..........

I will make sure that Patrick, et al, get a copy of this thread!!

It'll be over 5,000 unique views by the time we forward it to the RNC, making it (I'm sure) the LARGEST of the SOTU Parties!!!

I'm off to bed; unfortunately, I've got an early morning meeting!

[YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB AS 'PARTY' HOST!! THANK YOU!]

Who was Jeff Gordon married to? Brooke Shields? Tell me that isn't so?

LOL, no. You know after a race, when the winner drives to victory lane and jumps out of his car and cheers and is surrounded by NASCAR babes while he gets his picture taken with the trophy? Brooke was one of those NASCAR babes when she met Jeff. She sank her claws in deep too.

My husband will be very disappointed if he finds out later that we do not have Iran crawling with CIA right now teaching young turks how to revolt.

In a way it a shame Kristol behaves like he does as I am certain that he could have something positive to contribute if it was not always a case of trying to push himself and his so called "inside the White House" information he pretends he has.

***Is THAT what they were cheering....status quo of SS? I couldn't understand that...***

LOL! You were too busy typing. And you did a fantastic job.

The Dems did everything they could to defeat that bill, and they won. The idiots just had to cheer themselves cause that's all they have left.

Ohio, my TV is downstairs and my computer is in a spare bedroom upstairs, so I couldn't join in on the comments. But I'm enjoying the snacks which you all kindly left for me. Yum! Thanks

I must have realised at the time but it did not actually register enough to retain that but I do remember the cute photos.

I picked this up on the long Live Thread. Mark Steyn's comment on the speech on NRO's The Corner site:

This was a very cunning speech in the way it managed to sound lofty and noble while reminding you that the other guys are defeatistic legalistic naysayers. But I liked the implied go-ahead-punk-make-my-day segment on the wiretaps. Democrats are missing the meta-narrative and making the most basic mistake of all: never confirm your caricature - in this case that you can't trust 'em on national security.

SUPER!

Just tell Patrick that I'll be HAPPY to host again next year, and the next, and that we HAVE to have a winning candidate in 2008 so that we can do this again in 2009!

This was FUN. Think we can get to 1,000 posts by midnight??

I haven't applied for the DC semester yet. I have to get my transcript, finish my essay, and get my two professor recommendations. My goal is to get it done by Valentine's Day. I met a girl who went on the DC semester last semester and interned with Senator DeMint and she said she'd help me get an internship with him. Yayyyy!!! I'm really excited. We had an information meeting today.
