There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
our men and women in uniform are making sacrifices and showing a sense of duty stronger than all fear....they know ....house to house fighting.....heavy gear and hi heat....see a colleague killed......Sg. Daniel Clay killed....letter to family wrote....I know what honor is...it has been an honor to protect and serve all of you...I faced death with a secure knowledge you would never have to.....
Love your transcriptions..terrific!
**tears***...reading the letter of that dead hero! God rest his soul! And his family is there. Ahhhh....
Sgt Dan Clay's family are there......tears around
Oh ..... what a lovely and honorable Marine family.
You better stand for this ovation, dems.
I Love your Screen Name, Justanobody!
Okay...that did it...I'm in tears....
My screen is blurry
Sgt. Clay's family rises to applause.
Did you see the tears in our President's eyes when he looked at the Clay family? What a tender heart he has.
Oh me neither. I can't bear to think that he has to leave in three years.
Our nation is grateful to the fallen who live in the memory of our country......and as we honor our brave troops let us never forget the sacrifices of america's military families......
STANDING OVATION FOR MILITARY FAMILIES! WHOOOOP!
They pulled that crap last year, too.
I think I did see Stephens, I'm not sure though
Looking forward to the photos
Standing up and cheering this section of the speech!
I noticed that too. I think they're allowed to clap on military stuff. So I guess that would count.
For those who are such harsh critics of this President, they have never seen his heart which is so often reflected in those eyes with tears when his heart is touched. He moves on and doesn't wipe his eyes like Bill Clinton would have.....he just feels deeply - and I cannot ever understand how those who criticize him cannot see his heart!
