PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Don't expect to hear President Bush's State of the Union speech in Market Square in Portsmouth (New Hampshire) this evening.
Critics of the president plan to make a loud statement, saying public silence is a statement of consent.
Seacoast Peace Response is holding a rally during the speech and inviting people to come and make noise by blowing car horns, banging drums, playing music ... whatever.
Former state Senator Burt Cohen, one of the organizers, says people can't afford to be quiet. He says the group objects to the president's handling of the war in Iraq, terrorism, government spying and other issues.
(9 p.m., Market Square)
This is UnConstitutional. They are interfering with the President's constitutional mandate to give a State of the Union report.
Some one needs to put out some hampster food so these rodents can scurry in out of the cold.
Oh please. Raises the age old question...if a Dem protests in New Hampshire, does anybody hear?
(Poor Steyn - hope he's in Montreal this evening...)
HEH HEH - They are going to freeze their cabungas off!
They won't get near the Capitol. The captiol police park all the city buses sideways on all the streets leading to the bulding, essentially using them as barricades to any motor and foot traffic. No one gets too close to the building during the speech without permission.
Does D.C. have a noise ordinance?
They will have to make a heckuva lot of noise in Portsmouth, NH for it to affect DC's noise ordinance.
The Left cannot tolerated freedom of speech or the free exchange of ideas, struggles to suppress ideas that it cannot refute with logic, and cannot tolerate tolerance. There is nothing liberal about these people. They're just like religious fanatics.
yes they have. When they don't get their way they throw temper tantrums - threaten Senators and Congresmen and start fights with other counter protest groups. They have become idiots - must have been all the drugs they did in the 60's and 70's.
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Don't expect to hear President Bush's State of the Union speech in Market Square in Portsmouth (New Hampshire) this evening. You are absolutely correct that they won't get near the Capitol since they will be in New Hampshire.
Brownshirts.
All of them.
I'd like to see Bush convene the Congress and brief them as to the SOTU without cameras and microphones...just to see fat Teddy the murderer get all red in the face and on the verge of blowing a gasket.
Unfortunately, the urge to rebel against authority has been passed along genetically to their offspring as well.
A little link to help them out:

Much as we need to protect our southern border with Mexico, New Hampshire needs to close its border with Massachusetts. The overflow liberals from there infected Vermont first, and now they're polluting the culture and climate in N.H.
(I'm not a N.H. resident, but a frequent visitor and someone who loves that state.)
I heard one of these idiots on Michael Medved the other day. An avowed communist, she spouted the expected talking points and Medved shot her down at every turn.
Sindy wants jesse to bang her pot.
She looks like snoopy, sorry snoopy.

Otter: I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. Bluto: We're just the guys to do it. |
