PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Don't expect to hear President Bush's State of the Union speech in Market Square in Portsmouth (New Hampshire) this evening.
Critics of the president plan to make a loud statement, saying public silence is a statement of consent.
Seacoast Peace Response is holding a rally during the speech and inviting people to come and make noise by blowing car horns, banging drums, playing music ... whatever.
Former state Senator Burt Cohen, one of the organizers, says people can't afford to be quiet. He says the group objects to the president's handling of the war in Iraq, terrorism, government spying and other issues.

Put 'em in jail for disturbing the peace. They would deserve it any day of the week, not just for the SOTU.

So this is what has become of the democrats. Instead of aging like normal people do they are regressing. Since they now act like spoiled 3 year olds it won't be long before they are totally gone.

What perfect little Nazi Storm Trooper wanna bes. They did the same thing in the 1930s. When ever one of their opposition groups was speaking they would try to either shout them down or disrupt the event. The ONLY different between the Storm Trooper and the Modern American Left is the Nazis had a Hitler who let them set up the camps.

Uhhhh... Who goes to an outdoor park in the middle of a New Hampshire winter to hear the SOTU in the first place?
Personally, I plan to crank the thermostat up to 80 and the home theathr speakers up to 11, fill the hot tub with lefty Alito tears, crack open a bottle of bourbon.
Enjoy your little tantrum, snotbags.

In DC, there's supposed to be a counter protest to drown out the protesters. It would be interesting to get a recording of the cacophony ...

Can I do this at work? When some airhead Liberal shows up and tells me that Bush has drastically cut funding for education, can I pick up a pot and a spoon and bang them until the Liberal goes away?
Perhaps they would accuse me of having no logical response to their insightful criticism of the Administration. Perhaps they would say I was acting like a moron.

If a bunch of whiners make a bunch of noise and nobody is cares to hear it.....who cares?

And just think there was a time, not long ago, when the evil donkey and his lackeys in the black table-phone media would have made THIS the story. Now the rat is reduced to childish pouting and kicking his feet against the ground.
They have sunk a long way since JFK, haven't they?

This is UnConstitutional. They are interfering with the President's constitutional mandate to give a State of the Union report.
