Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...

"My God, what idiots could possibly elect a moron like this?

Only San Francisco and L.A. The rest of our state is sane! (okay, there is Santa Cruz too)

and yet there are those, in those cities, who fight on against the sexist, man-hating bigotry of Senator's Boxer and Feinstein.

EQUAL JUSTICE FOR MEN

The little sign behind the driver's head says, "Feminist Lies Make Bad Laws."

Yes, that truck has been up and down Hollywood and Sunset Blvd's. in Hollywood many times.

She's still going on about the oppression of the minorities

I'm not watching TV, but I don't suppose Boxer has mentioned the oppression of the 46 million unborn humans (many of them minorities) who were scalded, chopped, and vacuumed to death in their mothers' wombs by an activist Supreme Court of the kind she would love to see again.

I have no doubt that they would do it too. i have never seen such desperation before this crowd got deprived of power in '94.

Exactly. But then again it's long been a tactic of the left to have judges make the law when their own constituents oppose them. It's elitism at its finest/worst.

This Baucus guy is making me sick----why is he bothering with this stuff?

They want to be in the Congressional Record before the vote on the nominee. Boxer read off a list of DEM stragglers who want time to debate.

Because they don't have anything better to do.

This Baucus should be voted out of office----he's going on and on and on about things that have been covered before.

Time to stop listening for me.

Why are these people STILL talking about Alito?

I was wondering the same thing but then I realized the money vote is tomorrow. It's the last time to get their cheap shots in.

We should...that is unacceptable rhetoric on the Senate floor...

We need to get the transcript of her speech..and make SURE of the language first though.

Dems cut a deal? Alito for Bush

This whole Alito vote stinks to high heaven. It makes absolutely no sense why the Dems rolled over. The only thing I can think of is that a back room deal was cut. The Dems give em Alito and the Repukes vote for a Bush Impeachment. Before you start screaming - no way, think about it. Hearings are about to start on the NSA Illegal wiretapping. Everyone knows they have "His Majesty" stone cold guilty of violating the FISA Act and Article 4 of the Constitution. Hell he even proudly admits to it. The Repukes will be hard pressed to explain this one away. So they cut a deal with the Dems to get Alito on the Court. They save face with the hard core evangelical rght wingers and get to cut and run in time to save their own necks for the mid-term elections.
