Bob Woodward and photographer injured in IED attack.
Ditto, baby. I don't recall see Sgt. Joe Blow from Windy City or Pfc. Slim Pickens from Fat Chance injured by an IED in Breaking News.
That said, I am sorry they were hurt and hope these two have a speedy recovery.
You know he won't. He'll sit safely anonymous behind his computer and that's all. :)
Lemme guess...Mother Sheehan?
;)
"...even a bottom-feeding lawyer..."
I would hate for them to be reduced to wheel-out poster children by agendists in the media like they did to Jim Brady (former gun collector).
Time until ABC spins this into being Bush's fault? 5, 4, 3, 2,
I hope to God I'm completely misreading the signals on this, but in my heart, I know that they'd be a lot more verbose about this incident if they knew for sure Woodruff was going to be okay.
Man ... he hasn't even been anchor for a month yet. And he's got four kids.
Forget the sarcasm tag?
Smile...
It can be both my opinion and fact. The two are not mutually exclusive.
ABC News has been an important tool for the DNC, and by extension, the Islamists, since this conflict began. I can't just brush that aside because he put himself in harm's way and harm found him. I mourn and pray for the troops, not those working to obstruct them.
Agreed. Not only can't I brush that aside, I won't.
I understand your cynicism...sort of....but Purple Hearts still do mean something.
Most of those very few exploiters of the system still have to look in the mirror every day, and later, they'll have other awards waiting for them.
Utter nonsense Moses, with at sign up date of Jan. 26, 2006.
What unfortunately won't be surprising would be the MSM using this to slam the Iraqi military, our military and by extention the President.
Perhaps the ABC anchor and his cameraman will now have a new perspective on the bad guys, what they will do and how it effects people. Perhaps not.
That said, I hope their injuries are treatable and wish them speedy recoveries. I'm also thinking of their families.
Check it out (comment below not related to Woodruff incident, just media in general):
"...morale among our guys is very high. They not only believe they are winning, but that they are winning decisively. They are stunned and dismayed by what they see in the American press, whom they almost universally view as against them. The embedded reporters are despised and distrusted."

Working for Disney - one of the largest corporations in America. What's more American?
These investigations take time. Any time there are civilian casualties, they have to be extremely thorough. We must also consider the language barrier, since they were in an Iraqi vehicle. And there is a distinct need to maintain operational security. It will likely be an agonizing 2-3 days for these families.
They should air evac them to Germany as soon as they are stabilized.
I hope they are alright..

Could you please let us know if you hear any updates....thanks in advance.
I'm starting to see Virgina Purple Heart plates on vehicles driven by young folks in Northern Virginia. A pick-up went by me on Glebe Road the other day with the PH vanity that read, 1GOTME.
