I understand your cynicism...sort of....but Purple Hearts still do mean something.
Most of those very few exploiters of the system still have to look in the mirror every day, and later, they'll have other awards waiting for them.
I'm starting to see Virgina Purple Heart plates on vehicles driven by young folks in Northern Virginia. A pick-up went by me on Glebe Road the other day with the PH vanity that read, 1GOTME.
