I don't think so

But China imports something like 15% of it's oil from Iran

I THINK another country that would get hurt would be North Korea ..

Interesting you should say "cut and thrust" since Frist is a surgeon, a thoracic surgeon and one of the best.

Doctors need to train themselves to detachment.
We need something other than detachment at this time, Dr. Frist.

NYT held the spying story for a year then released it right before the vote to renew the Patriot Act.

Their strategy worked in the short run, but will fail in the long run.

Americans might react emotionally at first, but upon reflection, they see the need to protect our country as the first priority of the President.

My understanding is that the global oil market is so convoluted, it is difficult to decipher where the imported oil truly comes from.

This site is where he derived his info, and it supports us not getting oil from Iran directly.

That's their typical MO. If that can logically debate the issue (which is most of the time), they change subjects.

Correct .. but our side should know this by now and do a better job in debating the issues and getting their point out

Russert is POUNDING Frist.

Yes, he did, didn't he. Very hostile and adversarial. Totally unlike how he treats dims or his pets, like McLame.

Does Russert not understand what a blind trust is?

I believe that he knows perfectly well what a blind trust is, but that he also knows that most people (in his audience particularly) don't. So he was exploiting the ignorance of others by framing the questions they way he did.

Where Frist completely fell down was that he almost never challenged Timmy's phrasing of the question. Even on this question he failed badly that way. He did finally lay out that, legally, a "blind trust" doesn't mean he doesn't know what stocks might be in the trust, just that he doesn't now how many of any given stock he has. However, Frist didn't make that correction until he'd already stumbled badly and left the impression that Timmy had caught him on something.

Terrible display of bias by Timmy.

Terrible performance by Dr. Frist.

Was it Ellen Ratner? A few days ago also said we were too stupid to understand the issue.

"How and why does Bush have these pictures? Are they WH pics? Is Bush the only one who has them? Confused?"

The President addressed this at least a couple of times at the presser the other day (my guess is the DNC sent its questions to the MSM).

The Prez said he has his picture taken w many people, 'including many of you' (LOL!) When it was brought up again he reiterrated he doesn't ever remember meeting Abramoff and that just over the past holidays, he had over 9,000 pictures taken. He said he thinks it couldn't have been anything more than a 'grip and grin' (LOL! love that line)

In a Time of War .. what authorities do these nit wits think the President has??

Are they saying the President shouldn't be tracking down terrorists that want to kill us??

Because it sure sounds that way to me

The Presidnet will do what he needs to, in order to protect the country, whether or not COngress is up to speed.

Renewal of the Patriot Act is a Congressional activity, and whether or not it's renewed, do you think the President would modify the actions being taken to protect the country?

The Schieffer interview with the President is a disaster.
I viewed it already at the CBS news site.
Switched off after 4 minutes.
Bush's people shouldn't let him do these.
