Jim Lehrer, on his NewsHour program on PBS on Friday night, ridiculed John Kerry for calling for filibuster from "the ski slopes." Click the link above for the entire transcript. Liberal Mark Shields and conservative columnist David Brooks both joined Lehrer for some Kerry bashing.
This exchange is making left-wing radicals furious, who are now calling Mark Shields a "Republican stooge" and a "Fox News Democrat." One leftist website had this to say to Mark Shields, long time CNN analyst:
"This is the most despicable performance in your long career of pretending to be a Democrat. If you love George Bush with such devotion, then go register as a Republican today. Better yet, pick up a gun and go fight his disastrous war in Iraq. And give your "Democratic" spot on PBS to a REAL Democrat - someone with the cojones to stand up to the Emperor Without Clothes and his mouthpiece, Jim Lehrer!"

No brickbats from me... my husband did worked video on Leher's newshour from the show's inception in 1975 until leaving WNET in 1996. That show paid our mortgage! He still thinks the world of Leherer (and MacNeil too). So your opinion of the show is welcome here.
Kerry always talked in 2004 about a global approval. It only makes sense that he would demand a filibuster from Switzerland between snowboarding and skiing. He got his orders from the internationalist who vowed there support of him in 2004. Kerry is the biggest American lapdog Europe has ever had.
Obviously, my remarks were tongue-in-cheek...
Fortunately the Palestinians camps are armed - so they might do some good in eliminating one another.
Perhaps we should arm the Democrats?
No brickbats here. Lehrer's programming is an excellent source for understanding complex issues. It is also non-hysterical. Brit #1, Lehrer #2. There is no number 3 in the tv news category.
I disagree, he has a chance of the nomination, because, in the Demovik party, the biggest minority gets to choose the nominee. That would be the looney left, who are disenchanted with Hitlery, for the moment. I think they will come around to her if they feel it is the only way they can win. He actually believes Bolshecrats love him more than they hate George Bush, even if George can't run again.
The DU already thinks Chris Matthews is a Rove stooge. Some of them are "boycotting" him. Now they can add Jim Lehrer to their list. I think they'll eventually antagonize everybody except Hugo Chavez and Osama.

Guess you did not see the Gallup poll where 51% of respondents said they would definitely NOT vote for Hillary in 2008. REALLY bad news when a slanted Left poll like Gallup cannot even find a majority in favor of Hilly.
Senators are too establishment. It will NOT be a Senator for Pres in 2008. It will be someone posing as "An outsider" riding to the rescue to "protect" us from Washington.
thought you'd enjoy this one post at #65
Who is the "I" in the quote in your post?
If the new party is on the left, I approve.
I didn't get to spend the winter at a chalet in Switzerland this year. In fact, I've never been to Switzerland. It must be a "rich" guy thing.
Where in the world did you hear that?
RIGHT ON!! Just ask Larry Summers how much academic freedom there is at Harvard.
Shields parrots dem talking points like this and they call him a sell-out. Truly, they are sitting on their brains.
"Those DU nuts really are something."
They've gone over the cliff on this filibuster thing, and any deviation from the true faith must be punished.
yup , there are[as always] pockets of complete breakdown in Leftieland[FUBAR]
... just wait until later this year for Stevens' departure,
...and we get to see a Janice nomination/confirmation
