My son Jimmy passed away this afternoon, about two weeks shy of his fourth birthday. He had been fighting severe epilepsy for over two years and he lost his battle today.
When he has been in the hospital before, my dear friends here on Free Republic have been more than generous with warm thoughts and prayers. For that, you all have my sincere thanks.
Thanksgiving that your son is now with Christ. "Let the little children come unto Me..."

You know how I was sick?
Now I'm all well.
So if you don't mind me asking
Can I stay for eternity?

Very, very sorry to hear of your loss. May your son rest calmly in the arms of our Lord.
There is nothing in life harder, nor more unfair, than a parent losing a child. We will never understand it, but I know God's will was done.
I'm sure you will be heart sick for years but perhaps it may help to know that hundreds of us will have you in our prayers.
Might I ask the child's first name?

I am so sorry. My Little Man is 3 - we'll be thinking of you and your Little Man.
I believe that shared pain is like a shared burden, easier to bear. I will have to carry the pain and emptiness in my heart for the rest of my life, but you all helped me through the first few terrible days.
My dear FRiends have offered prayers, condolences and advice as well as sharing in grief. For all of this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
