Good morning once again, all you fellow political junkies. Put on a fresh pot of coffee, put the sticky buns in the oven, put a fresh battery in the remote control, and join us for the latest episode of the world's greatest daytime soap opera, "As the Democrats Bloviate." Yup, once again, it's that time...
Exactly! Bad enough that we vote for an R and get a RINO, but to vote for a D or I is asking for it.
You know what? Go ahead and vote Constitution Party. We will pick up someone to replace you, and your negativity will be gone, which would be a welcome relief to many.
Hackworth had a way of making your blood boil, but wasn't as easy as some to dislike...
You didn't read my post or you chose to ignore the nugget:
In terms of protecting our liberties from encroachment, I believe that a junior senator from the minority party will be ineffective....impotent...unable to get anything done.
Rick Santorum, on the other hand, is number three in the majority party...and he is not possessed of a conservative compass. For the LOVE of God, he echoed the words of Kofi Annan when he said: "...We need to embrace the challenge to dedicate a larger percentage of our GDP to foreign aid, while encouraging more international trade with developing countries. History will judge us not by what we say but what we do.
Yes, this agenda will require a role for government that some conservatives find disquieting. But that is a discomfort worth confronting..." http://www.townhall.com/opinion/column/RickSantorum/2005/11/17/175882.html
How much more evidence do you require before you admit that he is a Socialist in sheeps clothing? He's not the principled conservative that he pretends to be?
He is in a position to do more damage than any green newbie Dim could ever do. ON that basis....I'm voting for the Dim.
My neighbor met him over the weekend when he stopped off to get something to eat. A real down to earth fellow. When my neighbor mentioned, that Kennedy certainly is something.
Alito's response was, "it certainly was a strange experience."
"Hack" started to make my blood boil when he started speaking out against the war on terror.
Pick me! Pick me! I know the answer!
Misery loves company. There all into the same hippie crap over there.
Good. Vote dim. And now, since you have declared yourself opposed to a conservative like Ric Santnorum, I am convinced that you are a dem plant. Loser.
Alito's response was, "it certainly was a strange experience."
What a great story!
Frist is becoming a bigger disappointment by the day. In all fairness to him, I think it's due to his medical training and bedside manner which makes it very difficult for him to be an AH when called for, and in this case it could be called for... if they are trying to put this off until next week IMHO that is tantamount to filibustering and he should do what he said last week... stop all business in the Senate until this vote is called and taken.
Okay, we all understand that you don't like Santorum. That's not what this thread is about. We're here tonight to celebrate the confirmation of Justice Alito and to have some fun bashing the Rats as we watch them panic. Can we drop this Santorum issue until there's actually a thread on that issue?
Didn't Ross Perot accuse Bush 41 of trying to ruin his daughter's wedding?
Just turned on C-Span and for 15 minutes the vote for Alito is 49 Yeas, and 23 Nays........
What are they waiting for?
One more vote and it is over....
Gosh....I need to get a life.
That will disappoint the Dems. They want the electorate to think Alito eats poor people.
Dunno.......maybeeeeeeee.
Ok.....President Bush has stressed the ownership society from day one. AND? Show me the RESULTS! There are none. Socialist Insecurity is the same as it always was, we have no school choice, we have no meaningful tax reform, his home ownership initiatives involved redistributing wealth from the taxpayers to the collectors of income tax credits. That's Socialism.
How much longer should we tolerate the words, the mantra....without demanding results? Reflexively clap and cheer for the stump speech if you must...but don't kid yourself into believing that anything has really changed...because it hasn't.
