Spooky, isn't it.

I'd love to hear those "in the know" in the USA military/intel discuss this.

That little kook in Iran is a waaaaay nutty loon. He's a Hitler-wanna-be. Scary.

Oh, well. Ass kicked is still Ass.

"well this is a fine kettle o fish...could be the devastation we avoided in the cold war."

We avoided the devastation in the cold war because we were a step ahead of the Soviets. I'm saying we don't let Iran get any closer than the Russians did.

I predict Tehran is missing in Feb.

"Bush is just ironing out contingency plans before taking them out... ...err, that's Iran I mean, not France ;-) "

Maybe, but I believe that those plans are a long ago done deal. I believe that the only thing left now is final coordination between US and Israel.

Yes, March 20 was the day in 2003.
"U.S. and coalition forces launched missiles and bombs at targets in Iraq as Thursday morning dawned in Baghdad, including a 'decapitation attack' aimed at Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and other top members of the country's leadership..."

If this report is for real, and the Iranians leadership somehow pulls off their first nuclear test, you can bet it shall be their last.

"I predict Tehran is missing in Feb. "

I second this prediction. New geopolitical maps due out in March 2006, minus iran.

Hmmm... They're gonna test on a holiday? How festive! Perhaps Dubya can send a few of our noise makers to help get the party started!

Hillary Clinton came out today on the record saying that Bush was 'outsourcing' foreign policy to the UN on Iran.

I'd say the intelligence circulating on the Hill would back this story up.

Chirac came out of a clear blue sky to say that he'd use nukes against states from which terrorists attacked France with WMD.

The intel must be compelling indeed.

Hmmm. This story has no details whatsoever. What about credibility?

I have been wondering what the real deal is on Iran's nuke capability is. El Baradei - not exactly known for hawkish assesments of the ME situation - has said twice in recent weeks that Iran could be just months from a nuclear weapon.

Any more info?

This story has no details whatsoever. What about credibility?

The report was originally published by the Foundation for Democracy in Iran (www.iran.org) - and I've just learned that the Executive Director of that organization is Kenneth R. Timmerman.

Long story short - Timmerman has an open line to sources in the intel community.

So I'll rate it plausible.

Nope, Iran only wants nuclear technology for their energy needs only.

News came out of Israel with some scepticism about Iran's plan and deadline. I would also be surprised, if it could be done that quickly. ...at least another three-four months after that, in my best guess.
