ABC Radio Networks announced a multi-year agreement with talk show personality Mark Levin to nationally syndicate The Mark Levin Show to radio stations around the country. The program will air on 4 stations in the Top 10 markets beginning January 30th: WABC in New York, WMAL Washington, D.C., WBAP Dallas and WJR Detroit.
Levins program is currently among the most popular talk shows in the New York area, heard daily from 6-8pm (ET). In the first 18 months on the air, the program jumped to #1 in the time slot.
I am elated to be able to contribute to the growing conservative dialogue across our country, said Levin. I think listeners will find my perspective and approach thought-provoking, educational, entertaining and sometimes controversial but never boring. Well plan on having a lot of fun, too.
A frequent guest and substitute host on The Sean Hannity Show, Levin is one of the countrys preeminent conservative commentators and constitutional lawyers. He is a contributing editor for National Review Online, and writes frequently for many other publications. His book, Men in Black, which was released in February 2005, was on the New York Times Best Sellers list for 10 weeks!
We are thrilled to bring Mark Levin and his unique brand of talk to listeners around the country, said John McConnell, Senior Vice President of Programming, ABC Radio Networks. Paired along with Sean Hannity, Levins show is a tremendous one-two punch for programmers to grab and keep listeners on the radio dial.
Levin has served as a top adviser to several members of President Ronald Reagans Cabinet, including Chief of Staff to the Attorney General of the United States. In 2001, the American Conservative Union named Levin the recipient of the prestigious Ronald Reagan Award. He currently practices law in the private sector, heading the prestigious Landmark Legal Foundation in Washington, D.C.
I like Mark Levin...just hope he doesn't get the Hannity big head.
Woohoo! I am glad to see the success Mark is having. He really is The Great One!
One more nail in the coffin of Air America.
What's the frequency (of WMAL), Kenneth?
LOL, I don't think you have to worry.
Outstanding news! Thanks for the ping.
The Left doesn't stand a chance now.
Whooo Hooo!! Hopfully my local talk station will carry the show. Love you, Mark!!
Him yelling at the libs and telling it like it is are some of the best moments in radio!
Outstanding!
AMEN! Without talk radio, FR, and web blogs the conservatives would not have a voice. The MSM is so deeply connected to the liberal agenda it is sickening.
WJR Detroit is one of two AM radio presets I have on my vehicle's radio. (The other is WOOD Grand Rapids, Rush noon to 3:00, Hannity 3:00 to 6:00, Savage 6:00 to 9:00, Ingraham 9:00 to 11:00, and Colmes 11:00 to who cares.)
If Levin is on opposite of anybody but Rush (and Rush is already on WJR at noon to 3:00), then I will most decidedly listen to Levin. I can listen to Hannity, but for me anyway, he leaves a great deal to be desired.
It's a real good start, look at the size of those markets! It drove me nuts to have Rush (WJR) until 3:00 and then have Mitch The Lib come on. The ratings must have dropped by an order of magnitude. So they bumped Mitch by two hours and cut his show by an hour. They moved Hannity to follow Rush, and then added Levin in the evening. So great to see market forces working.
It's about time. The Great One deserves to be heard by many more listeners and I'm sure is being well received based on the calls to the show in the new cities.
Simple explanations of the conservative approach should continue. Abuse the libs as appropriate. They need an education which The Great One provides but I suspect that few libs pay attention to. Keep up the good work.
I only hope that The Great One is paid like Rush and Sean.
This is very good news. Levin is fantastic.
Get off the phone you kumquat!
