You can read the full Prospect article on Kennedy's site. Its subject is a lawsuit by a female Princeton student who wanted to be admitted to an all-male eating club at the university. As the title suggests, it argues more broadly that elitism isn't a bad thing. The article is written in an arch style that doesn't do much for me, and I don't think it's very good. But there isn't anything especially offensive or even controversial in it.
Dinesh D'Souza was the editor of Prospect at the time, and he confirms that the article, by H. W. Crocker III, now an editor for Regnery Books, was a satire:
The essay may not have been funny, D'Souza acknowledges, but Kennedy read from it as if it had been serious instead of an attempt at humor. "I think left-wing groups have been feeding Senator Kennedy snippets and he has been mindlessly reciting them," D'Souza said. "It was a satire."
The bottom line is that if this is the most "offensive" article CAP was responsible for in its decade-plus of existence, the Democrats' whole guilt-by-association effort was much ado about nothing. If being associated, however remotely, with attempts at humor that don't turn out to be very funny is enough to place a public figure beyond the pale, the Democrats had better stay away from Al Franken.
Well...Since socialist thought has infected, most especially, the Ivy League Schools, it would make sense that Princeton would PRETEND not to notice.
his letter of resignation?
Well it confirms what we already know.
What Kennedy did speaks louder about the liberal mindset and agenda for America than any essay, article or document can say.
Liars. Decieved. Ignorant. Discriminatory. Racist. Gullible. Corrupt. I am sure there are more but it is summed up in the word "evil".
Kennedy owes the Alito family, and America, an apology. Then he should go hang himself.
What is it about TK and water. He is so dense that he doesn't see how that could be used against him.
He no doubt meant to refer to the Irish colloquial phrase "just a splash" used when asking for another drink of whiskey, but most people are only going to think of poor Mary Jo!
Kennedy didn't admit it, but Limbaugh broadcast that fact to Limbaugh's listeners. He wondered if the GOP ha planted a mole on Kennedy's staff, to get something that obvious through in order to cause the Senator some serious embarassment.
The serious embarassment is yet to come, but man oh man, I sure hope it comes in spades.
LOL.

KENNEDY & THE CLOWNS
snip
The issue of Alito's membership in the Concerned Alumni of Princeton vanished into thin air when a search of the conservative group's records so angrily demanded by Kennedy failed to turn up even a mention of Alito's name.
(Senatorial courtesy being what it is, none of the Massachusetts Democrat's colleagues noted the irony of Ted Kennedy judging Alito on the basis of things that took place some 35 years ago. Or the fact that the article Kennedy had quoted to show the group's extremism was, in fact, a satire.)

Can you imagine what they would've done to Harriet Miers??

This is priceless :-)
Hope you are more than right in your analysis. . .
The far left is in charge of MSM (Fox in charge of the chicken coop)
That is another hiolarious piece, I think Rush is correct, there must be a Mole working among Teddy's staff
I think the article is entitled
"In Defense of Elitism" by H. W. Crocker, III
But I've not been able to find it anywhere at this time.
There are some references to it on the net when looking for Crocker and Dinesh D'Souza
My sentiments exactly! What a maroon!
You may like to save it for future use.
