That would be something if it could be proven that Murtha is as phony as Kerry concerning this subject.

What is the experience of people on this board who were awarded Purple Hearts? Did the military inform you that you were getting one or did you have to beg, like Kerry and Murtha?

As I suspected all along......you bet you were right to go there. Simple for him to prove....just sign a form 180....and let the truth be known. Anyone who refuses to do that can be doing nothing but hiding the truth....and at this point that appears to be the case.....
I agree with the other posters, stay away from the VietNam stuff. He has to sleep on this knowing one way or the other. Just go after his bananas idea of an immediate pullout and what effect that has on morale as well emboldens the terrorists into thinking we will be pulling out soon if they can simply hold on long enough!
No it isn't. Better to stick with the present debate. I, for one, found Murtha's comment that if he had his career to do all over again today he would NOT enlist in the Marine Corps to be quite shocking.
OTOH, this is very interesting. Stolen Valor showed there are large numbers of Americans who exaggerate or make up Vietnam experiences. Politicians seem not to be immune from that.
