Several Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee took the step of announcing, as Judge Alito sat before them, that they had been alienated by his 18 hours of testimony...

Yes, with every word you alienate yourselves further from the American people, and reality in general.

Keep talking!

Unfortunately the understanding that the majority of the questions they posed dealt with, let's see... Vanguard, which he had no recollection of and was COMPLETELY CLEARED of, and Roe, which he's unable to comment on.

The's asshats keep asking the same 2 questions even though they know 1) he's been cleared and 2) he's unable to comment.

Anyone else in the media bother mentioning that at all? Not that I've seen, and I read a fair deal.

Oh dear...they are :

Worried
Troubled
Saddened
Perplexed
Puzzled

All of their concerns about this good man sure makes me feel even more secure with this man at the helm. If they don't like him...that speaks volumes!!!!

I think Sen.Leahy inadvertently summed it up today for the Democrats on the committee when he prefaced a question to Judge Alito by saying:

"You know, this may be bouncing around here a little bit, but I'm trying to pull together my own mind."

The agony of defeat is all the Democrats have had in the past 5 years, and I am personally looking forward to three more years of them crashing and burning.

IMHO the Internet is playing a major roll in their downfall. Only the most radical of Liberals are in control of the major websites for the causes the left identify themselves with. MoveOn.org, DailyCos and Dummies Underground are prime examples of how loony the left has become. I truly believe I could get a more pro American report from AL-Jazeera than I could any of these major Liberal websites.

The most amazing part of all of this is that these fringe groups on the left have taken over the Democrat Party and I think CFR (campaign finance reform) might be the cause of this major shift..

The groups that have benefited from CFR seem to be the most radical on the left, while the groups on the right were not prepared for this new class of radical left groups, and I think the left wing groups came out with guns blazing and earned themselves the well deserved label of "RADICAL"

I think the RATS are in deep doo doo

The Alito vs. Ginsberg examples discussed in the hearings is a perfect illustration of the logic and thinking of Republicans, compared to the lack thereof on the part of the Democrats.

Both Ginsberg and Alito are well qualified, experienced and intelligent legal minds. They also happen to be polls apart in their political/judicial philosophy.

Republicans do not like Ginsberg, but acknowledged her to be qualified to be on the SCOTUS. She gets in with 90+ votes.

The Dems, most of them anyway, will simply not vote for Alito simply because he is a conservative. In their small minds, that is enough to disqualify him, the rest is pure grandstanding BS.

Translation: All of our attacks on Alito's character and credibility fizzled, and we know it, but we WILL NOT LIKE HIM and we WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM because he was appointed by that eeeeeevil, spying, woman-and-black-hating, environment-ruining, war-mongering, brush-clearing George W. Bush.

Now to put our heads together with the New York Slimes, "Newsweak", SeeBS, etc. and see what we can do to convince the public that they don't like Alito, either.

Remember all during the campaigning for the 2004 election the LibIdiot Media was going full throttle craphead hysterical about "this being the most important election in US modern history" and "this election like no other will shape the country for a long time to come."

Then as soon as President Bush won re-election with the most votes for any President in US History, the LibIdiot Media totally stopped talking about "this was the most important election in US modern history" and immediately started with their fake polls alleging that Americans are against President Bush.

Well I totally agree that was the most important election for several reasons and Alito is an important part of our well earned victory. But it's interesting that the LibIdiot Media never put Alito in terms of the hysterics they were having. Once President Bush won, they never again want to admit how important it was but rather fake polls against President Bush.

They have closed minds those intellectual pygmies. They're so worried about abortion they disregard the fact they're aborting their future voters out of existence. Quite frankly, let em have at it. The Democrats are history's losers.

The chances of a Democratic filibuster faded after the third day of hearings, as a spokeswoman for Senator Olympia J. Snowe of Maine, a moderate Republican, announced that Ms. Snowe would oppose it.

Good.

.....I just have to tell you that I remain very troubled, not by anything in your personal history, so much as by your judicial views," said Senator Charles E. Schumer.....

That statement is in effect a testimony to the fact there will be a good conservative on the court.

If Schumer is irritated, things are right with the world.

I love this!

I'm going to quote a well known socialist from the dark days of the 60's

"And that's the way it is"......our old buddy Walter Cronkite. I just love shoving their own words in their face, it's justice looong denied.

If that is the published headline I LOVE it.

The average American probably found Alito very likable. I know that is not how it is meant, but that is how it will be perceived by headline scanners.

Just one more wedge between the Dems and the American people.

"Democrats Still Dislike Him but Can't Stop Him"

The Republicans own the legislative and executive branches. The sun comes up in the east. Democrats dislike Alito.

They can't do a thing about it. And as they continue to stand for nothing and hate everything, Democrats become more irrelevant.

Isn't this a great Friday!!!!
