I wish the cameras would show more wide shots. We need to see which of the senators stay in their seats to listen to what Alito is saying.

I've always said home viewers could play Jeopardy better if the camera stayed constantly on the puzzle. After all, the players in the studio can see the puzzle at all times, home viewers just get to see it when letters are being added.

Same here. Home viewers of this hearing would have a better understanding of how rude and lazy and disrespectful the senators are, if the cameras stayed on them while Alito is speaking.

I think the whole subject is brought up by the dems because of their hatred for President Bush...

I dare say...if the POTUS was a dem, this subject would NOT even matter to them.

Didn't someone say that Nora O'Donnel is Tom Brokaw's main squeeze now? Did Tom Brokaw leave his wife? If this is so, it shows the cozy and partial relationship between MSM members. You can't trust these people to be fair. They are all in the same bed.

I wonder if Kohl realizes his Liberal Heros on the Court are all over the age limit. I wonder if he realizes his most of his co Senator idols are over the age limit

This question by Kohl reminds me of the Barbara Walters question: If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you like to be?

back to pilates...

"Sen. Biden Suggests Scrapping Hearings"

I can understand why he would suggest that. The dims vile behavior has to be costing them votes. Even Democratic callers on C-Span are turning against them. Not many, but a few.

Alito should have said..."when Senators agree to term limits, and age limits...THEN we will talk"

LOL

Question on what he thinks of O'Connor. They must be farming the local pre-schools for questions to ask today.
Alito is answering very well.

Is there a decent chance that Alito can be sworn in before the State of the Union address? Does anyone know the date of the State of the Union address?

I don't know but I bet ya Mrs Alito will be sitting with Laura in the gallery.

Now the libs want an age limit to hold a job???

I think 100 years would be an appropriate age limit.

Now Kohl is asking how O'Conner should be remembered? WTH?

I think he's on the "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" path.

"I wish the cameras would show more wide shots."

I had those same thoughts yesterday. During the proceedings things could not be discussed because so many of the Senators were NOT in the room. It wasn't apparent to me how many of the committee are not in attendence during the questioning.

I won't hold my breath for CSPAN to expose that fact, though.

Biden personally doesn't give a rip about behavior on the Democrat side. His justification about scrapping these hearings is because Alito hasn't been "forthcoming" enough. Which is a load of bunk, because Alito has been more open and honest than Bork or Roberts.

Even the usual knee-jerk liberal commentators are making fun of it. They got nothing on him..nothing.
